Transformers Studio Series ROTF Optimus - Wideoreview



Car Mode
Car mode shows how much of a repaint this guy came through. We got a solid piece of drybrush, a lot of added details, new flames, small lights, filver rims and a bit of mudo on the tires. Generally there is no panel that was left unpainted, which you can see best while comparing with original figure.


Robot Mode
Robot mode shows a lot of new details, including a bunch of golden and copper accents, completely new flames, redone chest and legs and a lot of drybrush. I also gave it a solid piece of battle damage to better reflect the worn metal. Again - the amount of details is best seen when compared with original figure.


Bonus - minidiorama
To make this figure stand out even more, I have made a custom diorama for it. The piece was inspired by forest battle in ROTF and that's why it contains a custom made tree and ground with some rocks / grass. The base is a solid metal piece and it also has a glass cabinet to put on top of it. You will also find two explosion effects on the ground, which are highlighted by "breathing" LEDs, which are battery-powered. Overall this compliments the custom and gived it more of a collector piece feel. Explosion effects can be removed if you want more space for your figure.

Set also includes original box and cardboard diorama if you are interested in displaying the figure this way.
