While I love the original G1 Optimus Prime figure, one thing has ALWAYS bothered me about him...
This:


(Yeah, this is a reissue with extended hand holes)

Prime's rifle doesn't exactly fit his hand the right way. This is because the actual handle on it is handle shaped, while the hole in prime's fist is set to hold a peg:



The result: poor Prime has to hold his rifle by what is essentially the magazine, as we see in the first picture....


Until now.





What I did was to remove the original molded handle, and with Devcon Plastic Welder, install a peg-type handle.

The result:





(My version is a reissue, but with the hands trimmed down to original specs)
So now, Prime is able to hold his rifle the right way. Maybe now Megatron will stop laughing...
