Man ... that'd totally help getting us to 2,500 galleries by the end of the year. All of those Constructicon galleries could amount to at least 27+ galleries, 28 if I do Action Master Devastator as well.

Well, Takara could allways storm the chinese factory where the dino KOs were made to get the molds back.

I wonder if there will be any changes/improvements, like there were for Predaking.
Not that I can think of many improvements that are required for G1 Devy.

That's an opinion, not a fact.
No No, I think there's a law somewhere. Maybe just in my head.
Now Crazy Devy has an excuse to finally get back and finish Devastator.

They could easily add ball joints to some portions of the component figures themselves. The legs would be next to impossible, given how they transform and combine, but arms and heads could be doable.
I doubt it'll be anything drastic.

Definitely just in your head. But hey, if that's how you like it, more power to ya!

I got the giftset one fine morning at my Grandma's over summer and that punk Hook's leg broke right off, first transformation. Naturally, I was enraged as a 5 or 6 year old kid and swore that I would only buy Takara when I grew up.
Then my Grandma took Devastator back and we got Defensor instead.
Defensor only has love in his heart where Devastator is an evil sack of shit.
(Also, I was dumb as hell as a child and had no idea what to do with those hoses that came with Hotspot.)

Interesting idea, problem is any one who wnats one probabaly already owns a good version between all the high quality bootlegs, mexican releases foriegn releases etc.
I can see this being the new skylynk and being a shelf warmer after a while and knocked out on discount, but hey atleast it was yet another Bruticus reissue.
Now when they get to Road Ceaser or Dino King I'll get excited.

All I need now is Computicon and Abominus.

energon devy was the first to be rereleased, back in 07 with the classics line as a walmart exclusive
Well 2 things:
1) I don't live in the US..
2) I started collecting in 2009..
So that's makes me unable to get hold of this current set at an affordable price, I saw a few that is way overpriced.

HollyW00d wrote:Why would you spend $130 on this set when you can get the High Quality KO for about $80? We're not talking crappy KO quality it's basically a reissue set. Granted I know some of you want the real thing but the majority of people shouldn't need to spend the extra $50. I have both sets and the reissue KO set is pretty much spot on. In fact besides the peg hole size (which crazydevy makes a set for anyway) there really isn't a difference in quality.
Couple of things come to mind ... but first and foremost is supporting the company that OWNS and needs to make money on the sale of Transformers products. The KO companies don't own Transformers nor do they have the right to illegally knock off Transformers toys and try to pass them off as original products.
I remember the days when KO Transformers meant "multi-colored Robo Construction Warrior vehicles from Moon", we're sold on a giant blister card that was obviously a knock off, and only cost $8. The KO company has no investment in these stolen products and ideas.
You should support Hasbro and Takara Tomy over KO companies.
Not to mention that we have no idea as of yet what the retail price is on the set, unless I missed something. The last Gestalt set from Takara Tomy was around $85 or $90 so I imagine they'll try to keep the set around the $100 price point.

not to knock high quality ko's but bootlegs are just that bootlegs and authentic is just that authentic. no offense but one day i wont be collecting tf's and i would like to pass on the real deal to my kids,nieces/nephews and or fellow collectors. just my personal preference really.

And when it comes down to G1 toys, OG > KO's for me.

But isn't that what they constantly said about the Skystriker? "The mold was damaged/broken/lost." Yet…

Has this been confirmed as fact at this point?
If so, it's time to pick up a Snarl and Swoop KO.

Anyway, as soon as there's a preorder, I'm on it. And CD ain't going anywhere near it, either.

Really hoping for the other Combiners, and maybe even some Headmasters down the road!

Yeah, Hasbro did say that, and according to what they've said at conventions and in press releases, they've now created a new Skystriker mold that is based upon the original because the Skystriker was in such high demand from GI Joe fans.
I never know what to think when companies say that the molds have been lost or destroyed. Sometimes the toy returns miraculously. For TF, I'm REALLY hoping to see a reissue of G1 Shockwave, Computron, Highbrow, Trypticon, all the combiners, and all the large ones like Fort Max (yeah I know about the safety issues), and Scorponok.

But that`s Has, not Tak.

Some talk about having 4 of the molds, but not all 5. Something like that.

As for Devastator, I'll have to see the final price before I commit. $100 or so and I'm in. $130... I'm not sure.

Wow! I didn't know you could order from Amazon.co.jp in the US. How much was shipping? $25 about? That's how much I spent on 2x Frenzy/Rumbles from Robotkingdom.com a few days ago.

She said she used her brother's Devastator for a husband to Barbie once (she also liked the color scheme). I may have to get her a Barbie so she can rein-act her play time she had. It will be worth it, though....
There's your next Human Alliance figure, Devastator with Ken!
Posted by frogbat on June 17th, 2011 @ 1:29am CDT
However it's a bit steep and am glad I found. Very cheap knock off a while back that cost less than ten dollars and looks ok on display. Obviously quality and safety are nothin like thee original but I will live with it as my original figures ended up with the hip connectors broke etc
Like most I think we r gluttons for new nostalgic releases and will happily enjoy both the g1 reissues and the modern interpretations
Keep bringing them on
