Stupid toy laws and stupid orange barrel tip on tiny Megatron. Looks cool beyond that.

Orange barrel? Isn't it about 2 inches long?

As neat as they are, I have no interest in these legends figs.

Also, WTF at the orange plug?

Wonder if it's molded on, or if it can be removed?

Here it is in all it's fail!

Sadly it does not appear removable...it actually appears to be part of the mold itself.

I am still crying inside over this! Shame on you, US gun laws! Shaaaaame! :BANG_HEAD:

Mmm, blaze orange. Sexy.

Seriously though, I'm actually kind of impressed by these. They turned out looking a lot better than initial pics suggested. I wonder if I should pick up Trailb-er, cutter, or wait for a real version.

I soooooooo called it!

I remember having a discussion ages ago over if Hasbro would release the WSTs and I said they'd orange cap Megatron.

And now they did, it's hilarious!

I can't believe the orange cap is required on such a small figure. How is that going to be passed off as a real gun? You'd laugh at whoever tried it.

Ahh stupid overly litigious society.

Does seem odd to have an orange cap on a figure so small but it's no big deal. Easily paint some silver on it and it'll look fine. I don't actually care for Megatron as a gun, never have, but I'm impressed how they did this one and used the gun barrel as the fusion cannon to make up for the lack of the scope and well, it's better looking than the G1 figure ever was (not hard). I'm happy enough with my lil Legends G2 Megatron though cos I prefer Megs as a tank (or any kind of thing he don't need someone else to carry).

Not bothered about Starscream as I only like his Movie self.

Trailcutter/breaker looks a bit dumpy but when I was a kid there was a time I had to spend a week in hospital and my folks bought me the original Trailbreaker toy to cheer me up and it did so I guess I might buy this lil one for sentimental reasons. He's not too cartoony enough that he wouldn't fit in with my movie legends figures anyways.

Yeah.....that just wont do. So much for me buying legends Megatron. I really did want to get him as they said he could be held by MP Screamer, but whats the point with the orange tip? Is it so the other toys in my room don't mistaken it for a real gun? I mean, who on earth would mistaken an inch and a half toy gun for a real one?

Seriously, are derringer-shootings on the rise? After all those stories about airport security pat-downs in the news this week, somehow I'm not surprised. But considering the barrel still wouldn't be proper black in robot mode anyway...yeah, I'm still buying it.

You know, hand guns this small do exist, and have for some time. Google "tiny guns". Not saying that this doesn't look terrible, or that the gun looks remotely realistic, but with the way some people are I could see Hasbro getting into trouble for not clearly identifying it as a toy gun.

Wow, you're right and it's very worrying! Thankfully not many people will pay 3,000 for one of those!

Megs looks great. I didn't think they could do something that good! I even makes more sense than the original - a a scope on a pistol? Now we need a voyager version.

Despite the stupid orange cap, I quite like Megatron. The head sculpt is one of the better ones considering past Megatron's. I will wait for the TakaraTomy images to be reveled before I decide if I will get him. Starscream is pretty cool and I may pick him up. Trailcutter, hmm, not sure yet. Nothing about it makes me think he is a viable purchase.

They always pictured Megatron's gun from the right side, does that mean his head can be seen from the left? Can't argue with the law but Megatron looks interesting. Starscream looks okay. Won't get him unless my kids want it. Trailbreaker (Trailcutter), I still think he needs a deluxe class.

Actually, the head is on a hinge that suggests it gets stored inside the chest in gun mode. I wish they did that with MP Megatron.

Periods and comma's are your friend :)

And Classics Megatron did have an orange cap, two to be exact. One for the chamber and one for the scope.

You know what'd be sweet? If they came out with a Generations version of Megs with a slick G1 robot. It'll never happen for a multitude of reasons. Not least among them that aside from homage and the character's own appeal, becoming a gun makes all kinds of no sense.

Yess! My thoughts exactly. This one looks better then Animated Megatron and that was my g1-like N1.
Please voyager/deluxe, please, it beats the 2 we have by far.

I'm sorry to say but Legends Prime is also better then the 2 other classics Primes

I don't think they can because it would resemble a real firearm too much. That's why Classic Megatron had to be a Nerf Gun.

Really hasbro an orange cap on a legends toy? Whats next are you going to paint all the small guns that come with the figures orange too? Guess ill have to break out the silver paint again. Also kinda upset that Trail Breaker is called trailcutter, couldnt they just slap autobot in front of the name to get the copyright? These little problems wont stop me from getting these since they all look awesome but still hasbro does something awesome and still manages to screw something up.

I own those two Classic Primes, and no. The legend is NOT better than the deluxe and voyager. It's a dinky little toy with less articulation and no weapons.

Dunno what you're all bitching about with the orange cap.

At least you'll be able to display him without requiring a permit and to ensure he's kept in a lockable gun cabinet.

Megs and Screamer look great.
And Megatron has the orange cap after all! I knew that wouldn't go away since the gun was in its original colors, because then it looks like a real gun you could shoot people with. Even though it's, like, a few inches long.
But I really don't mind the cap. I buy the toy for what it is. Not because it has an orange cap that "ruins the whole toy".

Given that the American Deringer is only three inches long, that's probably why they put a cap on.

Plus in the heat of things, you suddenly find yourself with a gun pointed at you, are you REALLY going to take the time to look at it and go "oh hey, that's not a real gun!"

But yeah, orange cap, big whoop, at least you can own it.

Hmm...didn't know they even made guns that small. But what do I know? I really don't care for weapons.
And yeah, at first if someone pointed a fake gun at me, yeah I'd panic. But, if he held me up for at least five seconds with the thing, yeah I would see the orange cap and just call the police on him.
And yeah, it's a stupid cap people. I'm so sick of hearing how much the cap "takes away" from the Megs toys. I mean, seriously, do you really want toys out there that look almost exactly like real-life firearms? If we did, then people could get away with all kinds of crap just by pointing a toy at someone.

My problem is it's a dumb law. If someone seriously wanted to make a toy gun look real they could easily paint it. And I'd much rather have someone point a toy gun at me than an actual gun. It's too easy to get around and that makes it ineffective.

One way or another I will own him and he can join all his other brother Megatrons.
