Also, WTF at the orange plug?
Wonder if it's molded on, or if it can be removed?
Posted by Pyrostrata on November 16th, 2010 @ 11:36pm CST
Sadly it does not appear removable...it actually appears to be part of the mold itself.
I am still crying inside over this! Shame on you, US gun laws! Shaaaaame!

Seriously though, I'm actually kind of impressed by these. They turned out looking a lot better than initial pics suggested. I wonder if I should pick up Trailb-er, cutter, or wait for a real version.

I soooooooo called it!
I remember having a discussion ages ago over if Hasbro would release the WSTs and I said they'd orange cap Megatron.
And now they did, it's hilarious!

Ahh stupid overly litigious society.

Not bothered about Starscream as I only like his Movie self.
Trailcutter/breaker looks a bit dumpy but when I was a kid there was a time I had to spend a week in hospital and my folks bought me the original Trailbreaker toy to cheer me up and it did so I guess I might buy this lil one for sentimental reasons. He's not too cartoony enough that he wouldn't fit in with my movie legends figures anyways.

Not saying that this doesn't look terrible, or that the gun looks remotely realistic, but with the way some people are I could see Hasbro getting into trouble for not clearly identifying it as a toy gun.
Wow, you're right and it's very worrying! Thankfully not many people will pay 3,000 for one of those!
Megs looks great. I didn't think they could do something that good! I even makes more sense than the original - a a scope on a pistol? Now we need a voyager version.

Starscream looks okay. Won't get him unless my kids want it. Trailbreaker (Trailcutter), I still think he needs a deluxe class.
Actually, the head is on a hinge that suggests it gets stored inside the chest in gun mode. I wish they did that with MP Megatron.

Periods and comma's are your friend
And Classics Megatron did have an orange cap, two to be exact. One for the chamber and one for the scope.

Yess! My thoughts exactly. This one looks better then Animated Megatron and that was my g1-like N1.
Please voyager/deluxe, please, it beats the 2 we have by far.
I'm sorry to say but Legends Prime is also better then the 2 other classics Primes

Lord Onixprime wrote:Yeah.....that just wont do. So much for me buying legends Megatron. I really did want to get him as they said he could be held by MP Screamer, but whats the point with the orange tip? Is it so the other toys in my room don't mistaken it for a real gun? I mean, who on earth would mistaken an inch and a half toy gun for a real one?
Two options:
Spray Paint
Gundam Marker
All Fixed. Good night. *kiss*

I don't think they can because it would resemble a real firearm too much. That's why Classic Megatron had to be a Nerf Gun.

I own those two Classic Primes, and no. The legend is NOT better than the deluxe and voyager. It's a dinky little toy with less articulation and no weapons.

At least you'll be able to display him without requiring a permit and to ensure he's kept in a lockable gun cabinet.

And Megatron has the orange cap after all! I knew that wouldn't go away since the gun was in its original colors, because then it looks like a real gun you could shoot people with. Even though it's, like, a few inches long.
But I really don't mind the cap. I buy the toy for what it is. Not because it has an orange cap that "ruins the whole toy".

Plus in the heat of things, you suddenly find yourself with a gun pointed at you, are you REALLY going to take the time to look at it and go "oh hey, that's not a real gun!"
But yeah, orange cap, big whoop, at least you can own it.

I can buy you one and take it apart and pacage it with other figures.

Hmm...didn't know they even made guns that small. But what do I know? I really don't care for weapons.
And yeah, at first if someone pointed a fake gun at me, yeah I'd panic. But, if he held me up for at least five seconds with the thing, yeah I would see the orange cap and just call the police on him.
And yeah, it's a stupid cap people. I'm so sick of hearing how much the cap "takes away" from the Megs toys. I mean, seriously, do you really want toys out there that look almost exactly like real-life firearms? If we did, then people could get away with all kinds of crap just by pointing a toy at someone.

All 3 are BOS (Buy On Site) for me.*
*D'oh, I just checked, I have them on preorder, so I don't need to worry about it.

My problem is it's a dumb law. If someone seriously wanted to make a toy gun look real they could easily paint it. And I'd much rather have someone point a toy gun at me than an actual gun. It's too easy to get around and that makes it ineffective.

Might have to take you up on that offer. Be interesting to see if he is released here given the current laws against poor ol Megatron.
One way or another I will own him and he can join all his other brother Megatrons.
Tucked deep away in the closet where the police will never find them.
