Looks so much better with the wheels tucked behind the shoulders in robo-mode.

In spite of that, I really like the alt mode and the fact that he's got the gun clip to mount it on his roof. I think the old timer looks good!

all in all, it's a must buy, of course.

He is an old man.

Generations is just pure win. Man I'm looking forward to the awesome run of toys we'll get for the next 3-6 months.

Does anyone else see a stop-motion Transformers reenactment of the scene in Airplane II with Kup as "The Sarge" on the radio telling the boss the shuttle can't fly and then being told to just fix it and send it up followed by "The Sarge" lighting up in front of some fuel canisters, tossing the match into their vicinity, and then, after no explosion, spitting into the vicinity which finally causes the explosion?
If someone can make that happen with the movie voice-over, that would be awesome!
If someone can make a bunch of Airplane short stop-motion clips with Transformers, that would be even more awesome! There's just so many great bot and con fill-ins for the actors in the scenes.

I can live with his vechicle mode because it is a truck. At least he keeps the G1 theme well. Blurr was way off but then again I dont read comics.

Battle your enemies with the new "Autobot Kup" action figure! The rubsign reveals whether he's an Autobot or Decepticon (even though the name already gave it away, making the rubsign utterly pointless)!

If they are going to give him that rather cranky, drill-sargent-like expression then they should have given him the bolt/cigar to gnaw on. I realize that they can't do that because it's a kids, etc, etc, but I know it will certainly have one added very shortly after I lay my hands on it. Has/Tak has done one damn fine job with this figure. I'm very impressed with this and many of the other Generations figures that we have coming out shortly. My faith in Hasbro is almost on it's way to being marginally restored.

Im the same way man.......I really want a Hasbro Arcee though.Im more than happy with Warbot Defender as my CHUG Springer also the 3rd party Arcee goes for some serious bucks......

Don't buy the Impossible Toys Arcee. It's a disappointing, poor-quality figure. If you really want one of the 3rd Party Arcee's, get the one iGear is selling. It costs more, but the quality is supposed to be so much better.

Yeah, I recall seeing the head-to-head comparison of those two on here somewhere, but thanks for the reminder. The igear one definitely looks like the winner--I may have to hold off on that order until tax return time, though. For the price they want, it should be hand-delivered by a woman dressed up as Arcee...

I'm liking those arms. They are VERY G1.....minus the panels of course but the arms are one of the things i first noticed and that i like. The torso is a great design aswell.
I'll definitely buy him if and when i find him.

Agreed. Torso down is outstanding.

It's just a personal preference of mine. Personally, I like hand guns or one handed weapons better with my classics collection because it offers a wider variety of poses with the majority of the figures. Now, the posability of Drift/Blurr makes a rifle/two handed sword possible. I also like the all black rifle that Blurr comes with more than the gray plastic they used on Kup's weapon.

Heh, if only... That would be a major selling point! XD
Yeah, I really wanted to like IT's Valkyrie, but it's just a poor figure. The design is good, execution not so much. I only wish I'd found out about the other one first, because I can't justify buying the iGear one now.

I really like this figure - i love the detail. I reckon that the gun is meant to be a cybertronian musket as per his original profile -
"Abilities: In robot mode, he carries an old-style musket laser that shoots bursts of metal-corrosive hydrochloric acid. Range: 5 miles. Speed: 100 mph."
there's something of a fusiliers element to some of the generations figures such as blurr (sniper) even mp rodimus prime. Makes a good counter balance to the samurai like blade wielders (drift, bludgeon)

I'm really glad that Hasbro has been using the clip system for weapon mounting more often. If anything, it allows for weapons to be attached without pegs or holes marking an otherwise believable vehicle. Another thing is that it allows weapons to be interchangable (looks again at Recon Ironhide).
