It's that time again, my friends. So get your camera ready and start racking your brain for ideas, because the September PhotoContest is upon you.

This Month's contest theme:

Out of the Box: What do Transformers do when you’re not around?

Your challenge this month my fellow Seibertronians is to depict your Transformers in the real world; at work, at home, the grocery store, anywhere! Just generally causing havoc in their wake, be it accidental or (he he) intentional. So grab your cameras and get going!

This Month's Contest Theme was provided by ionacus.

Dates to remember:

This Contest starts September 3rd.
The Contest thread will be open for actual entries on September 16th-22nd.
There will be a one week deliberation for judging and results will be announced on September 28th.
Winners will receive Custom Signatures by our very own Sunstar with their winning entries.

Please go to this thread to discuss the contest, view the rules and new procedures, submit any feedback, and all suggestions for further contests:

/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16146&highlight=&sid=

Your judges for this month are:
Neko- Forum Moderator
Calenatarion – News Crew Staff
***Guest Judge for the month of September: ghostofstarscream – Seibertron.com Forum Member.

***Guest judges are selected from a list of volenteers collected before the contest. If you would like to be considered to be a Guest judge for any future contests, just volenteer via a post in this thread here: /forums/viewtopic.php?t=11978&highlight=&sid=

*******I would also like to take this moment and issue a warning. Please be aware that certain public location's prohibitance of the use of cameras and such in their vicinity. In other words; be careful not to get arrested, OK?

Although no altercations of the photo are allowed, it is permissable to manually create a paper one or whatever to add into the photo or to place one under it when you submit your photo.

Damn, so I can't set this out at the APEC meeting in Sydney?

I may have to give this one an entry, it's about time I stopped being so lazy.

The contest doesn't officially take "entries" until the 16th? I take it this is to prevent "copying"?

Gonna have to think about this one, but the "set" shouldn't be much of a problem!

Not entirly, butt that's a definite bonus. The main puropose was to prevent people from taking up discussion in the entry thread like last time.

Too bad. I can see it now. Howard, Bush, and Leader-class Brawl positioned to look like he's stomping them. If you managed to pull that one you would have gone down a god.

Technically you could if you positioned the shot just right.

lol. That'd be awesome. :D

Another question: This theme places Transformers as TOYS this time right? Not giant robots in the city I assume?

Stop the contest. Infact, stop all contests and don't bother starting any more. Windracer just won everything forever with that entry.

lol. It does seem that way doesn't it?

But remember there are 2nd and 3rd place standings that also remain. Plus one of the judges may not like it.

You'l all just have to wait to find out.

I laughed so hard at that entry that tears streamed down my face. Which is actually quite painful right now as I'm suffering from pink eye at the moment.

Couple questions:

I've been drawing a blank regarding ideas, but I think I finally got a few, and can get one in before the last minute. So, does the contest end right when the 22nd starts(midnight tonight), or at 11:59.59 P.M. on the 22nd, right before the technical begining of the 23rd?

Also, is rule #4(the "no other figures") rule void if the figures are used as toys, and not as characters? Cause the them is Transformers in the real world, and a Spider-Man action figure in the real world is just a Spider-Man action figure.

No other figures means no other figures, even in this contest. To far into it to make an exception.

The contest will end tomorrow night because I was late in opening the entry thread.

GREAT! I'm glad to hear the results are in.

Also, since the theme is yet to be determined... I'd like to throw in my Transformers in Art into the ring.

Re-create a famous or your favourite work of art (be it a painting or statue of whatever) exclusively with tf's! I would imagine that we would get some very well done and humourous entries from this.

Any other ideas for themes?

I believe that was done in the previous Photcontest (before I took over). Or was is recreate a historic scene...it may have been the history one.

I'd like to do a more serious (AKA non-silly) theme for OCT. So any and all suggestions are fairly welcome.

Unless you guys wanna do a Halloween theme seeing as it's OCT.
