As for the rest of him, I see that he's not fully transformed, but honestly I was expecting him to be bulkier. I won't say anything else until I see a clear shot of the figure displayed properly, but so far, just like with the movie itself, I'm not impressed. Too bad, this was really the only figure I was looking forward to in the whole line. A big, bulky, menacing monstrosity that I thought might give Grimlock a run for his money. Maybe some better production shots will change my mind.

I was too, from initial impressions from concept art we weren't privy to, but in the trailer he looked quite lean and generic. This looks pretty close to that.

The only part I'm interested in right now is the face, which almost has a samurai vibe to me...

Yeah I get that vibe as well, though its also looking familiar to me, like I've seen a similar design in a movie.

I would, but my retail one is still in moving totes. I will get there eventually. But EM-Bee is right, the PF one is darker and has multiple other colors with it too.
Scourge looks interesting, like the looks of the head at least. Given that we are nearing when Wave 1 2023 should theoretically be coming out, wonder how long until the rest of the wave are properly revealed.
I got no robots for christmas, but Laserbeak did chill with me for New Years, I still like him

Also, I finished something I've been working on for a long time - my custom SS-44 DOTM Optimus Prime with hand painted flames! Did some modding as well, adding the missing roof lights and longer smokestacks!

For a long time I really didn't think I'd ever get all the flames done, but I'm very happy with how they turned out!

The head sculpt may sell me on the toy for that reason.

I remember someone on TFW2005 mentioning the crusader from Indiana Jones 3. I can kinda see it from the neck.
I'm also curious about the claw on the left arm. Wonder if it's mistranformed or if it's actually supposed to look so large and inhuman.

Speaking of which, it's also hard to believe that we're so close to finishing the DOTM cast in Studio Series. Only a few more to go! We should be hearing something about Hatchet soon, and hopefully Que is out before too long to wrap up the main cast, but I'd still really like to see Devcon and some of the Decepticon protoforms too! Maybe even an Orbital Assault Carrier/ Decepticon Fighter that could fit deluxe Bumblebee? That'd be really cool. I have no idea how they'd tackle a Driller, but I'd be on board for it! xD

Holy crap your work is outstanding. I grew up in auto body shops and know how incredibly difficult painting flames are on a full sized car, let alone something the size of a toy. The fade work on the orange/gold to red beneath the flames is outstanding as well. Well done!!!

Sentinel looks great! They really did him good in SS, he is a really good figure.
I really hope we get around to continuing and finishing DotM. Que is really needed. And I want to see a Titan Driller and commander Devcon. I would love to see the Orbital assault carrier too, they could make that a voyager figure, or even a leader where you have a deluxe sized protoform with armor that forms the fighter ALA Siege Magnus.

Thank you very much! I can’t take credit for the fade though, that was from the original figure.
Also, I was browsing Reddit and saw this:
My first thought was Frenzy, but it doesn’t actually look like him. Considering listings, this is probably a ROTB core!
EDIT: Arcee too!

Oh, since this movie predates his death, I assumed it was Frenzy at first glance, and "Freezer" could be a cheap substitution...
...except G1 Terrorcon Frenzy became Rippersnapper, so Freezer could've died even before then, which means the first Cooler movie could fit into the 3 years they were training to fight the Androids, but not the sequel--
OH, duh! It was the Unicron Singularity affecting everyone's memory! That's why Amazom* forgot the difference between Core and Deluxe price points! Thanks 2005 Hasbro, for giving us the eternal solution to all international continuity problems!
Oh yeah, and the GunMan and Cy-Kill's sister look OK.

This is in Australian dollars, so about $15-$16 usd.

Thanks! That's still a lot more than they are right now. Is that how much they're currently charging Aussies?

I live in Australia. That's probably the higher end price. You can get core class for around $15-19 AUD depending on where you look

I choose to believe he turns into an actual freezer - someplace I can store my ice cream!

With his limbs spread out like that, he's a ninja star. Or a Cybertronian snowflake.

If he turns into a weapon that can work with the Terrorcons in alt mode, I imagine this could be used as a base for a Frenzy figure to mount on Barricade.
I think Freezer looks neat. Arcee, her not so much.

Her head likely moves out of the way and her shoulders fold into that space with her arms coming together. I like her, she has some complexity that we don't see too often at Core class. She'd also make an excellent update of Energon Omnibot Arcee, just needs a bow.
Emerje
Yeah, and I’m 90% sure that the wheels on the back of her legs aren’t pushed in all the way.
