Continuing the 2010 BotCon set, Ramjet will be joining the ranks of the Generation Two Decepticons. After being teased at BotCon and a few weeks ago, the figure's paint scheme has finally been revealed by the Transformers Collectors' Club. Behold, Slipstream.. Ramjet!

Ramjet doesn't know how he was exposed to Forestonite but he's definitely grateful for the tougher skin that he's grown in alternate mode. Now when he catches any hot shot pilot, human or Autobot, in his territory amongst the clouds, he has the capability of truly putting that pilot in a jam! Instead of locking on with his weapons, Ramjet engages his afterburners knowing that one strike from his strengthened nose cone will leave all of his adversaries toast!

Actually, I'm willing to bet that, as with the early digibash of SG Cyclonus which looked mostly chrome, it's just a side effect of messing with the contrast on that particular piece to get the colour they photoshopped into it to show up better. With grey wings and fins, and some Reprolabels, maybe. Unfortunately that one uses the updated yet more deteriorated version of the mold.

I like it. But I say it's Foe-Toe-Shopped and will look much different in the end, just like someone pointed out about SG Cyclonus.

I love everything about it....except having Ramjet on the side of the cockpit. G2 repaints were cool, but if given the chance, I'd much prefer to re-dub them as new characters to join my G1 Classics.
Remove Ramjet from the side and this could be a new seeker with a homage of a paint scheme.

Dude, don't be so closed minded. I use to hate G2 and think it was the stupidest thing, but with the botcon stuff it kinda grew on me. Having some fiction to support it makes all the difference (although I wish they had explained the colors by claiming they were from Nebulos, were things are ALREADY wacky colored).

Let me help you with that. The creators did not have G2 Ramjet in mind with Slipstream. Rather, they said they based her colors on Masterforce Overlord (one of his two engines was female, trying digesting that).

I don't even like it and I knew that the creators have said that Slipstream was based on Overlord. And her personality is kind of similar to Mega (the female Godmaster half of Overlord. You can still order the figure without being a member of the TCC... it will be a bit more expensive but you will still be able to obtain it. If you don`t want to buy it through the TCC, then it`s possible to buy it through one of our sponsors, such as BBTS.. who have TCC Dion and TCC Cyclonus from this year on sale.. as well as many others from previous years;

I'm really curious to see what we actually get. I can't fathom the TFCC entering a partnership with Reprolabels. Of course, in this instance it looks pretty neat. It could also possibly mean less expensive exclusives since paint apps cost money while stickers, I can imagine would be less so. I can't say I specifically love the idea. It isn't a terrible one either.

I'm a huge G2 fan but one thing I didn't like was that the G2 Seekers were not new characters, especially since they're sufficiently different in colour to their G1 counterparts.
I have the G2 Seekers and in answer to an earlier post, G2 Starscream's colours are very different to the G1 version.
The body is white and weird pink, orange, red hybrid, not light grey and red.
The fists and feet are grey.
A Classics repaint would look very different to the earlier Classics Starscreams. As for G2 colours being garish, G2 Screamer was less outlandishly coloured than G1 Screamer. Plus the original Classics Starscream was horribly coloured.
I do see G2 Ramjet as G1 Slipstream. I'm a Seeker nut and their colour schemes are reasonably close.
Pity we haven't a new name for G2 Starscream. I call the black and gold repaint, Darkscream, an already used, legitimate TF name.
Of course, if we're renaming sufficiently different G2 repaints of G1 characters, how about the Dinobots? Maybe use the names Cruellock or Tyrannitron?
