Evasion Prime and Shockwave look like they do, at least. I'm sure more of them do, but I'm less familiar with a lot of the molds. Bumblebee looks like he was almost entirely stripped of paint though, hopefully he'll get more apps before he's finalized. These mostly look nice, I'll probably grab Prime and Voyager Megs to scale with him. Maybe Shockwave, Ratchet and Ironhide, but I'm focusing on collecting IDW guys right now. A lot of this depends on when these guys come out and how interested I am in the movieverse at that time.
That tiny Bumblebee is making Strafe awfully tempting, though...

These look gorgeous though, and for those wondering these all look either preliminary or not even complete, as some are likely placeholders, expect the completed deco's to look much better for some of these.

I don't think the voyager mold was ever re-issued...

That would require them to acknowledge something other than G1 was worth glorifying - and from what I hear the guys in charge of tfs are hard-core g1-er's, so, not likely, now if it were a movie year, maybe, but even then, I wouldn't expect it since they couldn't make a huge profit off of these molds - they use too much plastic, and have too many moving parts

Also 2017 is a movie year. The Last Knight is coming out 2017. So I'd expect at least some acknowledgement of 10 years of Michael Bay from Hasbro.
Maybe release Prime and Megs in metallic paint a la Premium Series of 2007.

MB-11 uses the Buster Optimus Prime mold, based on the RotF Leader (which explains the price hike). The latest release, TF Asia Optimus Prime Ultimate Edition, was showing signs of deterioration in the feet/grille pieces.
I can't really tell where the extra weapons came from, only that they should be from existing figures. Anyone?

If you mean MB-11 Prime's gun and sword, it appears the gun is in fact Buster Optimus Prime's gun, while the sword comes from Takara's Asia Exclusive Striker Optimus Prime.

I was aiming at Bumblebee's and Ratchet's weapons. Incidentally, both are the only MechTech Deluxes.
Tyrannacon wrote:Am I correct in thinking the Soundwave is actually "Human Alliance" Soundwave? It definitely looks close to it. It's just minus Gould and Laserbeak.
Good eye, it is indeed the Voyager-sized Human Alliance one.

You surprise me Scotty, I thought you collected all visible mold and paint variants released by Takara and Hasbro. Are you cutting back. I was sure you would at least get that Starscream, since it seems to have new joints.
Since I dont have Soundwave yet, that is an amazing deal for HA Soundwave, with premium deco to boot! They are also all up on anime export with perfectly reasonable prices.

The main structural difference is that the gas canisters transform into his blaster (aka a "Buster"). The head could be either face-plated or not.
And you made me realize I need to consider drinking coffee as I've overlooked an important detail. The Leader mold was retooled further for Darkside Moon, removing the arm blades and redesigning the abdomen. It's the latter version that MB-11 uses.

So is that more similar to Stiker Optimus or Asia Premier version? he does come with those swords.

More to Asia Premium aka Jetwing Optimus Prime. Striker had the canisters retooled yet again for the Stealth Force Gimmick.

So many damn releases of this mold... and all of them expensive.

Ahh, not quite sure, Bumblebee's seems to bare a some resemblance to HFTD Highbrow's gatling guns.
Can't really tell what Ratchet's guns are form.

Just checked it, and it's a match for both figures. But why from the unreleased in the US Deluxe Leadfoot?

I don't think him being unreleased makes a difference since he was releases in Japan, and it's the same company rereleasing these toys.

Hopefully this time they will make him in his TF 2007 Movie deco instead though.

I guess they don't want to re-issue Leadfoot as then they have to pay a license to Nascar for him.

The fourth one does seem close enough to his 07 deco from the first film. Kinda on topic, but also a bit off topic. I picked up an RotF Starscream from a seller on Amazon (it was shipped from China actually) and the wings are very frail and come off at the spot where they fold down on his back and his missiles will not peg into the spot under his wings when I switch him to jet mode. Is this a common problem? Anything I can do to rectify it or doctor a solution?
Back on topic, I really do want the Megatron voyager and Soundwave the most out of this set considering that all attempts to re-release the RotF Megatron have failed entirely. Soundwave because there's no US release for him in his DotM movie body. I'd love if it was his deluxe, but since it is his Human Alliance sculpt I'll take it. Soundwave always gets the shaft on big sizes I feel from the past. RotF version should've been a voyager size at least.

Plus, that voyager megatron is a deco that was once cancelled and is coming back. Hence why I am surprised fans arent all over this. I thought bringing back a toy that was initially cancelled was what some fans lived for. Its no longer on the "wishful thinking" list but really happening. So yeah, I am definitely getting that Leader Prime, Soundwave and Megatron. After market prices have taught me those are the kinds of toys you cant hesitate to long about.

Thats too bad, for everyother toy its their best iteration, but I am not feeling it for those. I guess they really wanted to have them deluxes. But thats odd, why would Ironhide be a deluxe ?! That doesnt scale with the rest of the figures here.

He'd scale with Ratchet though, as he uses the DotM Deluxe instead of the brickish 2007 one. As it stands the line has:
4 Deluxes: Bumblebee, Ironhide, Ratchet and Strafe
6 Voyagers: Classic Optimus Prime, Megatron, Shockwave, Soundwave, Starscream and Grimlock
1 Leader: Optimus Prime

As for EMOP, I've had time to think and I feel jipped. The Milk Magazine version is painfully close to this, and this is the 47th(ish) EMOP now and not a single one has been screen accurate YET.

Which of these would be your main priority? Mine would be leader Prime (I dont have any with a premium deco), Soundwave (dont have that toy yet) and Megatron (dont have that one either and that deco is too good to pass up).

Personally, I preferred the toy's green to the "accurate" silver. It's a very patina/undead shade of blueish green, which was rather appropriate given what happened in the film.
I'd love to see them do that other unreleased RotF Megs, the one with the even rustier paint job and the little crabs printed on.

Shockwave, Starscream, Leader Prime.
Evasion Mode Prime is great, but I already have one, don't need a slightly dirtier version.
Everything else is an easy pass.
Posted by william-james88 on October 12th, 2016 @ 12:34pm CDT
Other things to note:
- The Megatron deco is very similar to a version of the toy that Takara previously cancelled and it is the only version of the toy with a deco based on his look in the movie.
- The guns that come with Bumblebee and Ratchet are from Deluxe Leadfoot (which was never released in the west)
- The Leader Optimus is based on the latest retooling of the figure (from the Striker issue), which has yet to see a release in the west as well.
These are all currently available for preorders at both US and Japanese based online stores.

Yeah, I agree. I dont like that Ironhide mold they chose and I am surprised with the Ratchet too. Dont know why they went deluxe on those. Anyways, I remember you wanting that Ultimate Prime but had a double take when they revealed it to be over 300$ before importing. This Leader is that very mold (and paint job, or similar enough) so I bet its a nice relief. You dont have other versions of that leader mold do you? I will be ordering 3 of these by next week but I just wish our dollar could strenghen a bit before then. Also, I really hope that isnt the final deco for Soundwave.
