Emerje wrote:So orders just opened of Takara Tomy Mall, Galaxy Shuttle is under $60 USD with tax with pre-orders ending on July 10 release in November. I do have a TTM account, I think I'll order one since the shipping should be free within Japan and I'll just have the shipping service I use receive it and sent it to me, shouldn't cost that much, I'd be surprised if the total was more than $90.
Also there's a new comic up. Crasher is straight out of Challenge of the GoBots, all the way down to her square hands.

Here is a synopsis to the manga from TFwiki: https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Velocitron_Speedia_500_Part_3
It's the second week of the Speedia 500 to determine the leader of the planet Velocitron. Cosmos is still hosting, and notes the emergence of three mysterious black racers—two race cars and... a locomotive? The previous racers are surprised at this intrusion into their race.
One of the black race cars reveals himself to be Shadowstrip, an expert in dark courses who shoots out the lights in the tunnel he's travelling through. Bragging of having obtained the power of shadow, Shadowstrip claims that the darker it gets, the more powerful he is. He's interrupted before he can reach the goal, though, by Crasher creating powerful earthquakes that cause the shadowy Decepticon and Clampdown (with Miko Tezuka inside) to fall into a newly created crack in the ground.
The remaining new racer easily foils Crasher's plan by revealing his space shuttle mode to fly over the crack. Proclaiming this triple changing ability his new power obtained after a remodel, the space shuttle reveals himself as Galaxy Shuttle and he goes on to win the race! The other racers aren't appreciative that this intruder went on to win, but things become more chaotic as many Transformers who were spectating join in for a new race!
Meanwhile, Dia Cinders's G1 World counterpart is arrested by her and Burnout.

KO of the Velocitron bots? If the quality is the same and are much cheaper, eh, why not?
If they don't want us to buy the originals, at least the KO will pick up the slack.

The one I saw on eBay was $20 plus $50 shipping from China. It said it came with a box, but no telling if the quality is any good. At $70 total I'll just keep trying to find a way to get one as cheap as possible.
I've been trying to buy one off Takara Tomy Mall as I've done in the past but it looks like they must have changed something to close that possibility. I can go through the entire process, security hurdles and a final approval from my credit card on my phone and it still gets denied at the end. I'm guessing it's because my addresses don't match even though my credit card keeps approving the sale. I've tried my VPN, I've tried virtual credit cards from the issuer intended for this type of thing, nothing works, always ends with a store error on completion.

In the end, with all the fees added, might as well just buy from an eBay scalper.

I've bought from them in the past without one, you just need a shipping service to receive it for you. Something has changed in the last couple years. The TTM recommends using Amazon Pay instead, but when I try that through Amazon Japan it tells me at the end that it can't be used for pre-orders.
I put a request in with Buyee, we'll see what the fee for that looks like.

As someone who actually owns Velocitron Galaxy Shuttle, he feels almost like a KO with how loose and floppy he is. I understand were the situation reversed, I'd still be wanting to add him to my collection though. Kind of sucks all around.

Got a reply, $60-something for the figure and $5-something for fees, total of $65.99 before shipping, about $10 more than the Hasbro price I can deal with that. Sucks having to go this rout because Walmart failed us, but it sure is beating the eBay totals, I suspect I'll be ending around $90.

90$US counting shipping? 100$US would be a more realistic price. Assume the worst.
Still, even at 100$US total, that's better than if I'd have bought it for you at my local geek store at 90$CAN plus 15% taxes plus at least 35$CAN of shipping.

Never because I find it expensive. The pros are using it though.
So far, I only used the Crazy Glue trick. But it often make a mess. Crazy Glue is too liquid and it's too easy to drip it where you do NOT want it to go.
Maybe I should pay the price and try out the pro stuff.
(Seller do not ship to Canada)
Oh, F U.
Well, I tried another listing. This one work. So, shipped, it's around 20$CAN a bottle. That's expensive and it come exclusively from Thailand. In a month or so of shipping time, I'll try this "magic potion" to see if it's really better than Crazy Glue.

There is a very cheap temporary fix that you can try if it is on a ball joint that you can easily get to. Just put a tiny bit of paper towel, like a 2mm x 2mm square, into the socket and pop the ball back in. The paper should tighten things up, but will eventually wear down or even wiggle itself loose and need to be redone. I've used this to fix the loose ankles on Kingdom Terrorsaur and BW Skywarp along with SS Sideways.

Basically anything that leaves a thin layer will do to tighten up ball joints. One widely used item for that actually has its own applicator brush: clear nail polish, like a clear top coat.

We all suspected that Walmart had bungled things with the Velocitron line. Popular figures like Cosmos and Galaxy Shuttle completely missing, while choking the shelves with unwanted figures like Blurr and "Road Rocket". If Walmart took a bath on these, they deserve it.

There's not really any scalping, nor any money being made. The toy is $90 when including taxes, and canadian sellers were selling him for $120 USD shipped. After paypal fees, there was no money to be made.
Plus, is it scalping when every fan in Canada had a chance to buy him at retail?
Anyways, to confirm what was said before, Galaxy Shuttle did have a US release but it was online only.
