Also finally more news on MPMs. Also, I feel that listing might be more Starscream than Ratchet

Could always be a different set of clones, just the question of what other characters were considered clones in the franchise besides the two original clone teams from G1.
I feel like there have been other clones but I can't quite remember at the moment.

That last one is actually a character?
Talk about bottom barrel.
Normally I believe leaks automatically since Hasbro/Tak have a leaky darn barrel but this one sounds fishy but yet it makes sense anyways.
Hot House is on the par for Micromaster base stuff, Rotorstorm sounds like a Spinister retool (which I think is related to my theory that Spin was meant to be Earthrise like Astrotrain and was simply brought forward to fill the extra wave of Siege), Bug Bite is obviously a Cliff retool and Rori would be obvious.

An older G1 PVC line put out generic Seeker Clones dubbed "Air Warriors". Dreamwave wuld go on and argue these Clones were an army manufactured by the Quintessons. Ibsoubt thats the direction they are going, but anythingbis possible.

Also read a theory about Insecticon clones which could make some sense since one of them was part of the fan poll for Earthrise, even though Runabout won as we know from Siege it doesn't exclude Hasbro from making the non winners.
I doubt it's that though.

Any individual listing usually indicates towards an exclusive so yeah this would mean they are seperating the coneheads. Then again, maybe the seeker two pack is thundercracker and skywarp. I would be really shocked if they didn't release those two in this mold.

But it's so depressing for me because the ones I want the most are a complete set of DELUXE INSECTICONS. Hasbro, Takara, 3rd party, why won't anybody make those guys??? Why does it always have to be Kickback, Bombshell & Shrapnel?
I wish all the fans that have direct contact with Hasbro & Takara would push for them. Ransack is one of my favorite characters. Doesn't anybody else care about them?

The problem is that they were complete nobodies up until the Dreamwave comics came out, and even then they were minor compared to other characters. They're almost as minor as the Omnibots and Powerdashers.
That being said, they have received some love. Chop Shop got to be an accessory for a Legends-class Megatron. And he got to be a Thrilling 30 Shrapnel retool during Combiner Wars, and since they had very similar transformations to begin with and the T30 Shrapnel mold was more buglike than Shrap's Diaclone-derived G1 mold it's a pretty decent match.
Venin, the tiny!Waspinator redeco packaged with Legends-class Acid Storm, was originally supposed to be a Venom homage back when the Seeker used was slated to be Thundercracker. But when the Seeker got changed to Acid Storm...

Yeah, Chop Shop got some love, "THEY" didn't. Hell I'd be happy with the Fansproject set but the bastards never made Venom.
It's been 5 or 6 years since Hasbro made Chop Shop & I've been hoping at every big toy reveal since. Look at the massive amount of figures we got since then. We got some really STUPID repaints in that time. The movie line has a bunch of weird repaints straight out of left field. Then there's the pirate sets & that weird heavy metal rock band set that nobody asked for. Plus all the weird crap 3rd party makes. And the subscription service had some really strange choices. And out of all that, nobody could be bothered to make 1 complete set of Insecticons?
The amount of reveals this weekend is crazy. What's it going to take to get them to update every G1 character at least once?
Just look at the amount of Bumblebee's they pump out. Bumblebee was a complete nobody until they decided to force him on us beginning in 2007. Between G1 & the 2007 movie we never heard about Bumblebee. Bumblebee wasn't in anything from Beast Wars through Cybertron. Out of the 5000 Bumblebee's we got in the past 13 years, we could easily trade in 4 of them for 1 each of the Insecticons.

1. Redecoes are a way to A. maximize a mold's profitability, B. retain trademarks, and C. flesh out the stock on shelves.Aimless Misfire wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:

Are you talking about the Botcon sets?Aimless Misfire wrote:Then there's the pirate sets & that weird heavy metal rock band set that nobody asked for.
Because not very many people care about the Deluxe Insecticons compared to the others. They've had only slightly more of a presence in fiction than the Powerdashers, and lack the allure of certain other minor characters.Aimless Misfire wrote:Plus all the weird crap 3rd party makes. A belief that they'll get ROI.Aimless Misfire wrote:The amount of reveals this weekend is crazy. What's it going to take to get them to update every G1 character at least once?
Wrong! Wrong wrong wrongity wrong wrong wrong! Bumblebee was a major character in the original cartoon, appearing in several episodes for several scenes and receiving several lines of dialogue. He was also a major character to a lesser extent in the Marvel comics. The Deluxe Insecticons on the other hand got like ONE small appearance in the Marvel comics, and then more substantial but nevertheless minor roles in Dreamwave and IDW.Aimless Misfire wrote:Just look at the amount of Bumblebee's they pump out. Bumblebee was a complete nobody until they decided to force him on us beginning in 2007.
1. Lack of appearances in continuities between G1 and 2007 =/= being a nobody before 2007, because of his presence in G1.Aimless Misfire wrote:Between G1 & the 2007 movie we never heard about Bumblebee. Bumblebee wasn't in anything from Beast Wars through Cybertron.
2. It wasn't for lack of trying. Armada Hot Shot was originally supposed to be Bumblebee (and he looks it), but Hasbro had let the trademark on the name lapse. Which would be a big part of why they insist on injecting a Bumblebee into each new continuity - they don't want it to happen again.
You say that, but A. most of those are movie Bumblebees backed by his being a major character in the films and B. The nostalgia for G1 Bumblebee is far greater than that for the Deluxe Insecticons (although not as great as the marketing department has sometimes imagined it to be).Aimless Misfire wrote:Out of the 5000 Bumblebee's we got in the past 13 years, we could easily trade in 4 of them for 1 each of the Insecticons.

I'm curious how Selects Hot House is going to work out, won't that mean he'll just be a repaint of one of the other Modulator? Is that why there are tank treads on the bottom of Airwave's airport mode?
Roritchi is historically just Fasttrack in a different color, I believe, so he'll probably be the first Weaponizer mold reuse I skip.
Given that the branding of Clone was used to justify G2 Sideswipe in the same line as G1 Sideswipe, and that someone mentioned that the Clone set is the same price as Greenlight and Dazzlestrike were, I feel like it'll just be a Deluxe repaint and a Battlemaster repaint with a new blast effect, like that set. As for characters I could see branded as a Clone using Earthrise molds...
-Any Runamuck reuse (let's be honest, Runabout being Runamuck but black could make him kinda hard to market to a casual audience, or if not, it could be one of those Devastation generic goons)
-Slicer (say he's an Evil Wheeljack Clone, especially since we're also getting Exhaust who would at least have a new head to differentiate him)
-Any more Cliffjumper reuses (Tap-out's pretty obscure, Wrecker Clone Cliffjumper? That would be this mold's 4th use after Hubcap and Bugbite though)
-A Smokescreen reuse/repaint based on G2 or Prime Smokescreen (I think Classics Datsun in G2 Smokescreen colors was a scrapped concept before, of if it's Prime Smokescreen, him being G1 Smokescreen's body with the Prime colors would line up a lot with the original Sideswipe situation)
-Some sort of Alicon repaint?
-Detritus? (Greenlight was a mold from the previous line brought forward, they could do the same with a Siege mold for Earthrise maybe? That might specifically be relegated to Selects and Netflix lines though)
-Wrecker Hook/Tow-line/Lift-Ticket from Hoist?
-Some other notable G2 repaint (the only ones I really know about are Megs,Sideswipe, and the combiners)
I don't necessarily think a lot of these are likely, I'm just throwing out ideas.
Also, why does the article text mention a Deluxe Sandstorm? I don't see that in these listings.

Exactly what I was thinking. Good opportunity to finally reuse the Smashdown mold (maybe in orange and black Tantrum colors or dark red and gold Longhorn colors, or both).
I can think of one Twincast Podcast-er that must be super happy about Rotorstorm getting a new figure.

Things to keep in mind:
-Every recent figure that's had a recent listing called Project ____ has been a crossover figure, meaning Project Park is probably the Rexy from Kingdom Megs we heard about before, and Project Bat is...something. One of the credible leakers is already specifically saying it isn't Batman-related, so who knows.
-The prices probably aren't accurate, since the product descriptions in the listings definitely aren't (and considering the fluctuations of non-retail pricing amongst the already released figures).
-If "Prime Optimus Prime" isn't a typo...interesting that that would be the first TF: Prime design to get a Generations figure, considering that design was really only different from regular G1 Prime due to the artstyle.
-Goldbug, Blurr, and Jetfire are allegedly parts of the Shattered Glass repaints subline (according to EAN numbers posted on TFW combined with pre-existing rumors for SG Goldbug & SG Jetfire), which would also explain the extra Megatron and Starscream listings as well.
-Further proof that "Golden Disc Collection" or whatever it's actually called is likely gonna be a full mini-line of exclusives like Galactic Odyssey, considering the now second appearance of Terrorsaur alongside these new additions. I guess Golden Tigatron is gonna be prototype orange? I don't think he's ever had any other repaints historically, and the listing still specifically calls him Tigatron as opposed to a separate character name.
-Whoever made the Studio Series listings can't keep track of movies 2 and 3, evidently, since I thought DotM Sideswipe was the one that already came out and Jolt definitely wasn't in DotM.
-"Unicron Galvatron" is probably the rumored mid-reformatting Galvatron repaint.
Very curious to see what comes of these listings overall.

But it's not like we'll ever get a frickin Nightprowler again, so I guess I'll wait to see them and see if he makes it worth it.
Maybe Dracula. Or something baseball relatedThings to keep in mind:
-Every recent figure that's had a recent listing called Project ____ has been a crossover figure, meaning Project Park is probably the Rexy from Kingdom Megs we heard about before, and Project Bat is...something. One of the credible leakers is already specifically saying it isn't Batman-related, so who knows.
And alt mode. And weapons. It's kind of in between G1 and Bayverse Optimus Prime.-If "Prime Optimus Prime" isn't a typo...interesting that that would be the first TF: Prime design to get a Generations figure, considering that design was really only different from regular G1 Prime due to the artstyle.
I really hope they rerelease Gaia Unicron after they did Breakdown and Vehicon. Might be that Galvatron Unicron somehow (just wishful thinking).
I wonder which molds that Megatron and Starscream will be...-Goldbug, Blurr, and Jetfire are allegedly parts of the Shattered Glass repaints subline (according to EAN numbers posted on TFW combined with pre-existing rumors for SG Goldbug & SG Jetfire), which would also explain the extra Megatron and Starscream listings as well.
Maybe green with orange stripes (just wishful thinking again).-Further proof that "Golden Disc Collection" or whatever it's actually called is likely gonna be a full mini-line of exclusives like Galactic Odyssey, considering the now second appearance of Terrorsaur alongside these new additions. I guess Golden Tigatron is gonna be prototype orange? I don't think he's ever had any other repaints historically, and the listing still specifically calls him Tigatron as opposed to a separate character name.
And as the listing doesn't say DotM but Tf3. So it's either a typo or what you said.-Whoever made the Studio Series listings can't keep track of movies 2 and 3, evidently, since I thought DotM Sideswipe was the one that already came out and Jolt definitely wasn't in DotM.
The WHAT-"Unicron Galvatron" is probably the rumored mid-reformatting Galvatron repaint.
That's a new rumor to me. What does that version of the character look like?
