The Arker has posted clear images of Recon Ironhide and Bludgeon. With these clear images, we get to see Recon Ironhide and Bludgeon combat biographies.
Biography of Recon Ironhide:
"Stalking through the jungles of Southeast Asia, Ironhide moves in absolute silence. The only sound is the dripping of the never-ending rain from the board leaves of immense trees. Yet he knows Decepticon Bludgeon is here somewhere, waiting for him. He has come to this verdant place to hunt the Decepticon martial artist and finish the job the other Autobots left undone. He has come to track and destroy a dangerous Decepticon warrior, once and for all."
Biography of Bludgeon:
"Decepticon Bludgeon was nearly destroyed by a fight with the metallikato master Autobot Whirl. Forced to retreat and hide, he scanned a new vehicle mode and disappeared into the southeast Asian jungle. He is desperate to prove himself against an Autobot, however, so he has caused just enough chaos locally to attract the attention of Ironhide. Now he lies in wait for the Autobot, ready to spring his trap and destroy his victim in an instant."

Because he has more guns and other weapons than any Voyager class bot should be allowed to have?

Why was he renamed? "Jungle Attack" sounds more brutal than "Recon" does. And this Ironhide is definitely brutal.

Movie 1 Ironhide - GOOD
Movie 2 Ironhide - Awesome (better guns)
Movie 2 Ironhide - PURE AWESOME (recon version)(more guns and knifes)
I wounder how their going to top the recon version?
(my answer is Giant Guns, Long Ass Swords, and an Awsome Repaint.)

I don't understand how Ironhide's BIO has such mediocre scores for skill and 'fireblast.' Seems all that weaponry will go to waste. Hasbro should have bumped up those categories. No matter though, still getting him.

Why does Hasbro keep doing this to us? Finally a badass Ironhide with lots of weapons, truck mode is sweet too! I may have to buy this one and retire my 2007 movie edition.
What is up with ninja Bludgeon? Definitely avoid.

I've been avoiding ROTF figures for the most part, but I am DEFINITELY getting these two.

I'm more concerned with the fact that retail stores are so saturated with all the other previous ROTF Voyager figures that 1) the stores won't order any newer Voyagers or 2) if they do get in these two, they'll remain in the stockroom forever. I have the same concerns for the Deluxes.

I guess Jungle Attack was just to violent for the kiddies these days.
Better he do Recon instead.
Though with all those guns I'm sure he'll be attacking something at some point.
Still going to pick those up.

Ahh young people who fail to understand the concept of "homaging" an old character. Skull Head's a Samurai, not a not a ninja by the way.

No need to educate the non-G1ers. Or people who can't tell the difference between Ninjas and Samurai. They just don't care.

I'm totally in love with the skeletal look of Bludgeon's upper limbs and how close he looks to his pretender shell. And the only way Ironhide could get any more awesome is if he was Red.
When I get these Two they are going to be the center piece of my movie set.

I love how not only is it explained why there is two 'versions' of Bludgeon (rebuilt after his EPIC DUEL with Whirl), but the tie-in with the new Ironhide helps justify the new arsenal. His BFGs would do more harm than good and be waaaay too much of a giveaway in the dense jungles, so he adapted some more suitable weapons (thus the SCIFI CROSSBOW and ROBO MACHETTE) from human allies.
And both look badass as well. I already wanted them, now I want them even more.
