The Decepticon set contains translucent versions of Galvatron, Scourge, and Cyclonus meant to represent the scene from the 1986 animated movie in which Unicron reformatted a dying Megatron and crew into their powerful new bodies. Even though Cyclonus' Targetmaster partner Nightstick wasn't actually there for that historic scene he still managed to get the translucent makeover.

The Autobot set also features a translucent figure, a blue clear version of Hot Rod, who is meant to to represent the moment he opened the Autobot Matrix of Leadership and became Rodimus Prime! The e-Hobby Kup has a deco closer to his G1 counterpart and battle damage paint applications. Last but definitely not least we have the Junkion warrior Scrapheap! Possibly the most anticipated figure in the set, Scrapheap is only figure to not only receive a new deco, but also a new head mold.

All in all both sets are nice. I haven't played with the Decepticon set, but the autobot set is a interesting mix.
Now I will say the paint apps on blue Rodimus are better than his clear two pack counterpart.

A Classics-size version of the Masterpiece Rodimus maybe? But the fact that Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime are the same figure with a different face bugs me to no end. A Classics-size Masterpiece-style Hot Rod and a third-party Rodimus Prime trailer/armor. Yes…
But a Masterpiece Galvatron first please. Thanks!

I Love Virtual On! But what does it have to do with transformers?

I know a Japanese site that sells the Destron pack at around US$ 150.00 not including shipping. How much did this cost you Ryan?

It cost about $200 INCLUDING shipping for both sets from site sponsor RobotKingdom.com.

Did you get yours yet? What do you think of it?

Wow! That sure was a bargain for that price. The site that offered just the Destron set cost Y 12,000. Major bummer!
The Rumble/Frenzy United on the other hand cost like Y 6,000(w/o shipping)'cause the darn blasted set sold out like a snowflake under a hot magnifying glass at the regular online retail sites.

Not yet, some time this coming week. I've split a set with someone from the US: Rodimus for me, Scrap Heap for a friend of mine, (so I'll get to see both) and Kup remains with the original buyer in the US. It doesn't help that the Netherlands celebrate Good Friday and Easter Monday by closing offices, so that may delay the shipping a bit.
Fortunately I have BiS Rodimus to tide me over. And I have to say this about him: cartoon accurate to a fault.
But I can already say doing Rodimus in clear blue was a smart idea, as the Sons of Cybertron version doesn't stand out as much next to either SoC Prime or Henkei Clear Convoy. He'd also make a decent avatar of Primus this way, since in the Marvel continuity Primus resembles him.

I don't know if I want to shell out $200+ though. Tough decision.
