as good as he looks i noticed at least 2 things i dont like so far. 1 his hands just look cruddy. 2 his waist isnt even there. it looks wierd right where his legs connect to his torso. still gettin though. never had g1 tracks and this would an awesome adition to my autoguys.

finally logged in --seibertron is loading so goddamn slow. Anyway - I'm still not sold on the alt mode. (And I want a Tracks really bad!) The initial pic was just 1 angle and it wasn't very flattering. The decals on the hood aren't very reminiscent of G1 either. Shouldn't the autobot symbol be in the center of the gold/red flame wing shape?? The body of the car doesn't look Corvette enough. And I hope the wings will be able to stick out. Looks like they will.

I don't feel as strongly about it as you do but yes that's a perfect idea!!
He could totally be repainted into Generations Wheeljack with a new head of course - like Drift & 'Blurr'.
Then we would finally shut up about wanting a new G1 Wheeljack figure Hasbro!

I think they've done as good a job as they could have possibly done with Tracks except for those crappy feet.
They would be fine if they were just a little chunkier.

ya, those feet are kind of wack. Rather than a repaint/new head -i'd rather have a new sculpt for WJ. You gotta have the scoop thing on the front hood for him. It's just not WJ without that. I want to like this tracks, but the hood art and sculpt are killin it for me. I'll need to see more pics and/or in person before i buy. And it needn't be said, but WJ is loooong overdue

He looks a bit short and squat to me, but I'm super excited just to see Tracks getting another figure.

He doesn't look sleek enough and his arms might be a bit short but he looks like Tracks and seems to have plenty of articulation so I'm happy. Now, if only we could persuade Hasblo to not discontinue this line in the UK...

Mine!!! Please reprolabels take some notes for some upgrades in this awesome guy.
Probably his waist is under the window like Sunstreaker, but this one is really hidden under hit!

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. I'll be honest, the more I see that Tracks, the more I
don't like it. It's way too fat (like Fatimus Prime), no lower torso, and the gun looks super weak in his hands. I think Wheeljack deserves a better mould then that. I also think everyone is just too excited to see a new Tracks to realize it this mould isn't that great.
That being said, I think it would make a good Downshift repaint/remould. Gun, missiles, robot mode are all very close to his G1 counterpart... even if the mould doesn't really impress (me)

I think it's a pretty good job, but of course it was never going to be perfect.
It's all hypothetical at this stage but IF they did decide to repaint it into Wheeljack with a new head that didn't look 100% like a G1 Wheeljack, would you pass it up even though we haven't seen a G1 Wheeljack figure for so long?
I admit I'm passing on Generations Blurr because it looks nothing like the G1 Blurr (fat, bad head mold but good paint job) for the same reason but I think they could make a good Wheeljack out of this mold with some tweaking.

The mold is starting to grow on me. I never cared for Tracks but just the fact that he's getting some attention in the Generations line is great. These pictures have confirmed (to me at least) that his arms aren't as small as I initially thought they were. His headsculpt is great, the alt-mode is really nice, and the wing gimmick is clearly there. I think this is a nice upgrade to the character. The waist and gun could be better, but it's not too bad in my opinion.
As far as Wheeljack goes, I hope he gets his own mold. As much as I clearly see how he can be worked with as a repaint of Tracks, I'd rather he have his own, unique mold. He deserves it after all, especially with the iconic differences between the two characters such as the weaponry, the alt-modes, and the body structures, I'd say give Wheeljack a new mold. But that's just me.

I wouldn't mind if Wheeljack is a repaint of this mold as long as he gets a new head. Maybe they will turn the legs around somehow so the mold transforms differently like Sunstreaker / Sideswipe.
Regardless these new Generations mold are going to kill my wallet. As if FansProject needed help cleaning me out.

Hmm. Methinks this is what the finished transformation is supposed to look like. Transformed like that once? Okay. It's normal for Hasbro's people to not get it right.
Transformed like that twice? Possible. Maybe the seller looked at the Hasbro pics and figured that was it.
Third time? Eh...no. Methinks that's the official transformation.
It's not that big of a deal and I'll be fine, but I can see why it would bug a lot of people. I do think putting his waist behind the windshield will hinder the posability some.
I also think it could make for a great Wheeljack repaint, though I'd like them to remold the vehicle a bit, so they're not just straight redecos of one another.

I'd love to hear Michael McConnohie (in character) comment on the new picture.

Me thinks Reprolabels will have something to say about that hood decor. My guess is PDQ after release!
