American fans will notice a Cosmos on the shelf just chilling and that's a common sight across Smyths stores in Europe since they received solid cases.

For the same reasons that apply to every single toys ever produced. Crappy distributions and corporate shenanigans.
Still, some popular toys DO get reissued like Commander Jetfire and Skylinx. So we never know.

Walmart wanted one Cosmos per case because their toy people didn't think the green UFO would sell as much as the red bike, the black tow truck, or whatever Blurr is. The solid cases of Cosmos are evidently available to Walmart but they aren't buying them. For whatever reason, Europe is. Hasbro ships what people order.

Well, they were WRONG - as usual. There are tons of Road Rockets, Blurrs and Burn Outs languishing on shelves, and no Cosmos at all! Bah, curses, boo hiss and FIE!

The solid cases aren't available in the sense that they were made and Walmart didn't want them, but in the sense that if Walmart ordered them Hasbro would have made them. The Transformers team at Hasbro were surprised to find out the solid cases existed, they were only aware of the Walmart case mix, it's purely an international Hasbro thing.

I mean yeah if I was the one in charge I would've at least swapped Cosmos with Burnout re: 2 vs 1. I'm not gonna deny it's a weird decision by WM, but a lot of these decisions are made by people who see trends without being personally invested in all the brands they have to order for.

I really like that sharp red on him, but honestly, going by previews, I think the original is still superior. The only thing this one has over that is the back folds down.

...when they said that anything was on the table for Legacy I guess they weren't kidding. It's not quite the Crankcase retool I was hoping for (that would be Ironfist), but it looks good to me. Maybe Heatwave from Bulkhead next somehow please?

I guess so.
I never owned him, but I heard he was one of the better Fuzor figures.

I loathed the character in the show. But if these two are testing the waters for the Fuzor line to get an update in Legacy. I'm all for that!

To be fair, the backpack is pretty chonky, so it would probably require one of those folding double hinges, which would have add to the price and fragility. If they'd scaled him up to mega class it would have worked, but they were only doing transmetals for mega class at the times (same as the basic class was exclusively fuzors).

Silverbolt was one of my favorites as a kid because I empathized with him. Everyone treated him as kind of dumb because of his lawful good bent, but there were a lot of moments showing he wasn't ignorant or naive, but willfully optimistic(?), and that keeping that up was actually a fair bit of work on his part. That continued to evolve when he got to Beast Machines.
I wouldn't bet on any fuzors beyond Quickstrike though. The modern Beast Wars offerings have stuck close to the original show's cast. Might get Universe Silverbolt or that white repaint (Windrazor?) under Selects, or if Walmart follows the Velocitron line with a Beast-Planet line.
(I just realized that the Velocitron line would have been a great place to drop a Transmetal I or II Cheetor.)

Yeah for the generations line, I'm not expecting more then the 2 show fuzors, same with transmetals. Toy only characters will only be those who can be redecoed from the show cast figures.

As a fan of villains and comic relief based characters being a personal bugbear of mine. Silverbolt and Quickstrike really fell flat for me. The former basically is the antithesis of everything I like in characterisation. The latter, I regard as the worst character in the show (on par with Nightscream).
I can see the redeco potential in a new Silverbolt release. I don't think Quickstrike ever had a redeco? But as you say, being part of the cast he is more than likely for inclusion in the Legacy line. It's a shame though. I'd have loved to see modern iterations of Terragator and Airhammer.

The Samurai motif to the Bot Mode looks fine. But.. easily the worst altmode of the Beast Era shows.
If these modern Beast figures are successful enough. I wonder if BM would make it into Legacy? Clear plastic warnings aside, it might be the redemption the Maximal designs need.

Luckily, outside of the penultimate episode's Spark power-up, the on-screen designs had very little about them that was translucent, so any new toys of them ought to be accurately opaque.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Ask Hasbro. That is a good point. "Show accurate" might be a saving grace for the BM figures. Considering how insanely fragile most of the figures were. To this day, I look at my (broken) Vehicon Mirage and think 'who okay'd this waist ball joint being clear plastic???'

I saw this on TFW yesterday, so many off the wall comments, and it felt like mine were just completely ignored...Oh well, anyway... It was interesting to see that some fans liked the idea, many others were like "Why RB in Generations? I never watched that preschool show..."
Oddly enough, while there were Medix toys in the RB toyline, the character himself never appeared on the show. I did watch all of RB because it was age appropriate for my kids at the time. I never watched RB Academy (outside of a couple of clips on Youtube). It appears a Medix character actually appeared on RBA (the nephew of Ratchet), but if its supposed to be the same character, who knows. The Legacy pics bear a striking resemblance to the Botcon 2016 customization class figure more than anything else:
I'm so glad I own this, as all of the variations of this Ratchet Custom build class toy; Medix is arguably the hardest to create/obtain especially pushing on 6+ years since the convention. At any rate, if Legacy is supposed to represent all TF Fiction, why not Rescue Bots as well?
ZeroWolf wrote:Interesting, a possible exclusive for the likes of Velocitron?
Possibly, or Selects, or Buzzworthy. Being a Medic, lots of fans, including myself, assumed it might be the Walgreens exclusive for 2023. I really hope not though. Usually those aren't revealed until a few months into the new year, and I'm really hoping 2022 Minerva is the last year of Walgreens exclusives seeing as they make it a real pain to obtain, and show little concern for exclusives since their toy rep left.

I think Octane would have made a better use of a Leader slot than Blitzwing; could have been used to give him both shields and possibly finagle an articulated trailer connection in truck mode.
But anyway, good to know Sandstorm's coming. Wonder when we'll get a proper Quickswitch.
Been enjoying Legacy SIEGEwave so far.

Just so long as the Prime Force drones are sold separately. Otherwise getting all of that in a leader class for Energon Optimus would be more than a little disappointing. It would be better selling them separately than it would be to sell the whole thing as a commander too so as to not waste the spot on something that could easily be sold separately. Not that everyone would enjoy that either.
I really hope Big Convoy,Stampy, Magmatron and Galvatron are being considered. Just a few of the ones I want most from BW II and Neo.
For Morbot though, I use Netflix Decepticon Mirage for that. It's far from perfect but I didn't really know what else to do with Decepticon Mirage and the colors reminded me of MOrbot a bit. A while back I repainted a PotP Jazz as Quickshadow based on her "Rescan" toy. I never even watched Rescue Bots either and I want Generations versions of them.
