In these images, we get to see the front and back of the toy package. Both of the figures are expected to hit worldwide retails in May 2011.

Don't forget about G1 fans?! have you BEEN to Target or Walmart Recently? ITS ALL THATS ON THE SHELVES! Generations and Reveal the Shield EVERYWHERE! I mean cummon, they've gone SO G1, there are toys for Straxus, Thunderwing, and Skullgrin... freaking SKULLGRIN, who ever cared about him?!
Seriously, idiots like you are the bane of this fandom. Think before you speak.

First, Skullgrin is a quick way for Hasbro to reuse the very cool Straxus / Darkmount mould. So less about being a fan favourite, and more about their bottom line. Although I for one care about Skullgrin.
Second, G1 Generations is sandwiched between so much Revenge of the Fallen and Power Core Combiners. They'll likely be gone, and gone for the foreseeable future once Hasbro ramps up into full Dark-of-the-Moon-all-the-time mode. Even a "glut" is a temporary state of affairs in the life of a toy isle.
Third, there is nothing wrong with Primeultimus putting a shout out for more of the characters and toys he loves, for Hasbro not to forget that not all of us want to see yet another Bumblebee or Optimus Prime for the upteenth time in four years, but would rather see our favourites who haven't been seen since the 1980s in many cases. You know, since G1 (and their fans) built the brand upon which all else followed.
Fourth, seriously, you are the one who needs to take a breath and get a grip. Your precious Bayformers will be back soon and in force, until we can move onto something else.

Hey, to defend him a little, I'm getting tired of these movie designs. I mean how many Bumblebees can we get? It's like getting 18 versions of MP Prime -- we get it. We're dealing with the same characters & models for about 4 years now. While there may be increases in engineering, the actual character designs are consistent so there's not a lot of variations. It's getting old for some of us.
I'll probably get Sentinel Prime, maybe Leader Ironhide, and a 2 or 3 of the deluxes but aside from that, there's nothing else interesting that's been released in info or pics so far. It's more of the same stuff we've gotten in the past 3 years. I'm more excited about Generations Wheeljack and Warpath and other original designs & characters than most of the movie toys so far.

Another thing, i doubt people wanna see a truck and gun fight for 27 friking years. hasbro needs to have varietey in order to sustain the whole TF universe. Im pretty sure you'd also given up years ago if hasbro got stuck in G1 character designs for 15 years.

I'm not going to chastise you for you comments. Only the manor inwhich you delivered them. I'm with you, we have been getting more and more G1 love from hasbro, takara tomy, and 3rd party joints. However, the movie stuff is well,...different. It's new. Maybe it has something to do with most people not dealing well with change, or maybe it's because most of the movie stuff SUX! Either way, he was only expressing his opinion, no need for name calling.

I kinda do.
In fact, I'd really like to see it again, since we have not actually seen a gun and a truck fight in about 25 of those 27 years. At least not in any show form.
But on topic, I REALLY like the Sentinel Prime. He is in my "must buy" list from movie stuff.
I like that they are getting away from the wacky unicycle inspired designs from RotF.
I have no interest in the BB. I have too many already, and he is just way out of scale. I also agree that the constant use of the gun arm is annoying.

That would be true for a lot of fans. If they only kept truck Prime and gun Megatron, in the same design, year after year, we'd all get sick of them. So, they've been monkeys and and dinosaurs, fire trucks and tanks and so on.
That's the problem with the movie toys, Bumblebee has been a yellow Camaro since 2007 yet we've received more than 20 toys for him. It's just getting tiring for some of us. We're more interested that we're getting new designs/toys (especially for classic characters that haven't received a new toy in 20 years) instead of a character who's had 20+ in 4 years.

I have never seen someone use the phrase "why in the ass" other than you.
Anyway, it's a shame Sentinel Prime doesn't look as good as he does on the back of the box but that is a given anymore. I'll probably still pick him up. I have no need for a leader class steroid 'bee

On-Topic: Sentinel is so far my second favorite figure from the line (second to Shockwave) and I'm planning to pick him up. I'm hoping for a review or high quality in hand pics to give me a better idea of the chances of him becoming my Alpha Trion though...

Dear Hasbro;
After the movie, the movie toys and ranking in grand profits, please continue the RTS and Genline figures for us.
And most of all
Dear Michael Bay;
Please make this YOUR last Transformer movie....EVER!!

BATTOUSAI XD wrote:Sentinel Prime is still looking good and I don't care for a leader Bumblebee. I do need a deluxe, though; I got cliffjumper from the first movie and just didn't want to buy the same mold again.
I would say that Sentinel's mold is nice, but it is missing some painting applications. For sure he deserves more details. I'm sure we will get it as another Movie Masterpiece toy, but again for double of the price.
I'm just curious about his size. It will be disappointing if he is shorter than ROTF Leader OP.

Seriously, Hasbro has, for the most part, failed with this line. After all the money I spent from the first and second movie toylines, I guess I'll have a hefty wallet after this line.

I'm sure they will be continuing those type of toy lines. Similar lines have lasted through the last movies. Why doubt Hasbro now?
On topic, I'm liking Sentinel more and more every time I see him. I'll likely be picking him up!

Eeeexactly. The only thing okay is sentinel... and to be honest, I usually don't like the plastic on movie figures. Their grooves and detail lines seem blurry and dull.

Sentinel Prime is wicked. And his alt-mode is actually officially licensed!
And finally...an oversized Bumblebee worthy of a collector's shelf. He looks just like his CGI model. He may go well with MP figures.

Plus I'll always have the memory of me randomly looking out my office window and seeing him and Megatron drive by last summer.

Bee? Still on the fence. His torso looks disproportionately large. I'll have to see the real thing before making a decision. Honestly, there are only two reasons why I'm even considering buying an overgrown BB:
1. He looked pretty decent in the first photos of the prototype, and TF box art is notorious for making a fig look bad.
2. While we still haven't seen better pics of deluxe DOTM Bumblebee, he doesn't look too good from the currently available pics. I'm not a fan of peg holes on a toy, either. Thing is, I've taken a liking to the DOTM BB design, and the prototype Leader class Bee looked like a half-decent representation of it.
But after seeing the box art, I'm not so sure anymore.

BB, I don't care.
Another thing, I really dislike the packaging for the DoTM line. It is not attractive at all to me.

Primeultimus wrote:More movie figures. Do not forget about the G1 fans Hasbro!
Then go to Walmart or Target. It's called Generations and Reveal the Shield. It's almost entirely G1. And what do we get after every movie line? Oh yeah...G1. Hasbro doesn't forget it's G1 fans. Half of everything they make is G1 based. They don't forget their movie fans either. That's why they make movie figures to coincide with Transformers movies.
G1 will return. Just be patient. Let people have their Bayverse fun first.
