Thanks to Japanese site seesaa blog, we get to see the Takara ROTF Swerve, exclusive to Amazon JP in Japan.
The release date of Takara ROTF Swerve is on the coming October 2009.
From images, seems like the Takara version of Swerve comes with brighter red, compare to its Hasbro counterpart.

I agree on the red, but I sure like Sideswipe's head mold better than Swerve's.

Agreed - I'm loathe to order this just on the off-chance that it might be different. I'd love to see some comparison pics.
Weren't there also reports that the Takara Voyager Megatron and Leader Jetfire were slightly different shades to their US counterparts? Again, comparison pics are a must.

One could make the case that he resembles or is an homage to Universe Swerve, but certainly not G1 Swerve.

Same guy who named this one:
Apparently, red car = Swerve.

As for the color, I too want to see some comparison pics between the two versions of Swerve.
Anyhoo...

The Alternators version has a true homage to G1 Swerve's head. Still surprised that we got him and even more surprised at how valuable that figure is.
At least they're both red corvettes. That's a nice touch. And he's still a metallurgist.

That alternator swerve does look pretty sweet. I also have yet to obtain Hot Rodimus and GT-R Prime as well.
