When eHobby gets involved, it's going to be interesting. I wonder if this will tie in the TFCC in some manner as well?

Agreed. Although, the N.E.S.T./GDO mold is actually quite nice. Not Megatron nice, but nice.

:-?
Not sure I really want another redeco of Optimus Prime, heck, from the image he looks exactly the same as previous versions?

Now, a G1 redeco of the Voyager tank Megatron does sound rather interesting as weve only had the G2 deco if I remember correctly? :???:

Thats one repaint I would like to see alongside the recent Toyworld Voyager Orion/Optimus Prime... ;)

Biggest difference from the Henkei! Henkei! version I can tell is that this one has one Autobot symbol on his left shoulder while the former had two, one on each shoulder.

And the truck kibble in the arms seem to be stripe-less, being solid red here.

And his smokestack gun is black this time instead of silver. As is his truck wind vane, so his altmode might be partially black.

The new Legends Megatron tank w/ Chopshop makes a better tank Megatron than the GDO mold.

Why can't we get an upsized version of that?

Additional details on this thing.

The comics that come with these figures might be two different versions from each other: "Transformers Cloud Comic (Optimus Version)" and "Transformers Cloud Comic (Megatron Version)"

They seem to be splitting the two figures between the two vendors. Optimus will be exclusive to TakaraTomy Mall and Megatron will be exclusive to e-HOBBY.

"TG" = "Transformers Generations". At least, in Japan it does.

And I find this statement from Duque to be very implausible since this is just an online exclusive promotion, whereas Generations (as well as the Super GT toys) have been standard retail releases in Japan. Why a mass retail line would be canned for a limited selection of online exclusives that can only be purchased from two vendors is completely nonsensical.

It'd be like trying to sell the entire Age of Extinction toyline at just Kmart stores two figures at a time. :P

Now that is how GDO Megatron should've been decoe to begin with.

Already own both Classics Optimus and Megatron, so while these pique my interest, unless they're sold separately, it's a no-go from me.

Now, if only some third party group makes a fusion cannon for this mold...

Megatron is the eHOBBY exclusive while Optimus is TakaraTomy Mall's exclusive.

I'm going to be the odd one out(as usual) and say that I'd love to get another release of the Classics mold Optimus since it's my favorite rendition of him in plastic form, although being a retailer exclusive I have my doubts that I'll be as willing to go out of my way for it... unless they do something incredibly smart and use non-translucent plastic for the folding arm kibble, since the fragility of those panels is a constant worry to me.

Megatron on the other hand is completely ignorable as the mold never suited him to begin with, and even so I only ever cared for the G2 color scheme.

Classics Prime AGAIN!!! Seriously, give us a new Optimus Prime. After the awesomeness that is Toyworld Orion arrived at my door, I can't be bothered paying for the classics mould again.

I have no interest in that Prime mold again.

I really wish we would get an updated Classics Prime.
For the 500 thousand versions of movie Prime we've gotten, would it kill them to offer a new GeeWunny style Voyager Optimus?

Looking over the Megatron from pictures, it may be OK in his original colors, I'll have to see it rendered in plastic. I dislike the GDO head, and it looks like that is what they will use. It doesn't really fit the look and feel of the rest of the mold.

A repaint of GDO Megatron? Great, another G1 vs. G2 dilemma like with the Deluxe Tanks. At least I already have Henkei Prime, so no problems there.

We get our first look at the Transformers Cloud Optimus Prime and Megatron via a tweeted magazine scan. This look at the upcoming toys comes to us from @nakigao_san on Twitter. As previously reported, Optimus is a repaint of the Classics/Henkei mold exclusive to TakaraTomyMall and Megatron is a repaint of the Generations GDO Megatron exclusive to eHobby. As a bonus, we also get to see the Transformers Go! G25 Black Leo Prime. The image is mirrored below for your convenience.

And, HELLOOOOOOO, Go Prime! He is totally a Blade Liger. 8)

lol, this is hilarious. Henkei is much better. Not only does the Windtop thing match in red on Henkei, the chrome legs are nicer. But for anyone that doesn't have the mold it's good I guess. One of my favorite molds. Megatron though? ugh.. Still not a good enough Megatron for Classics. Can anyone stand up to Hegemon? :BANG_HEAD:

I do prefer the neck-down mold for Bludgeon over Megs, and I'm not quite sold on the whie face, it almost looks too makeup-y to me... but a little extra paint, and that wouldn't be a bad earth-mode version of his War Within Tank mode. A US release, I'd have bought it.

I like that Optimus, it's a great mold plus the cartoon accurate white is actually pretty nice to see on a toy for once.
Although it's pretty odd to have show accurate colours on a mold that's vastly different from the actual cartoon model. If it'S not too expensive to get I might get it for my Classics Prime collection.

The arm panels are still made of translucent plastic, thus not worth the premium. Pity... I like the classics Prime mold, but with the panel plastic being a major design problem It's getting harder to justify each subsequent release.

And all of the Animated versions, basically all that are based on G1 Megatron. Especially the cartoon model which mistook the gun kibble as being his helmet, while the things we know as "eye-brows" are likely meant to be the crest of his helmet and not part of his face. :-B

So why are people surprised that this thing as a uni-brow?

Oh also, the body of Megatron looks great as always, but damn that head sculpt looks even crappier now than it did in G2 colours. WTF Takara?

I still have no need for another one of that Prime mold, but I completely agree on Megatron.

This would really work if they made a head that worked with the mold.
As it stands, Megsy looks like a bad kitbash.
