I might not play an instrument, but I kinda want this to display.

out of all the instruments to pick why a ukulele? the finished product does look good but a guitar would've been cooler a violin would've been more interesting and banjo would've be funny as hell. Mice work none the less

if this was a guitar, I MIGHT actually get it. A ukelele though? I don't think many hipster indie guys are this into transformers, definitely more metalheads lol. Give me an insignia I can shred on, then we'll talk.

I spotted this on the Etsy website last night. Didn't look into any of the details but now that I look at the larger picture I'm wondering whether that is just fine sanded to that sheen or whether that is a near flat sheen of lacquer over the wood. Being a professional cabinet finisher I would love the chance to get one of these without a finish on it and custom tint my own shading lacquer and bring it close to a nice "Autobot Red" finish. For that matter, I could get a custom red conversion varnish for this that would nail the color exactly but hold up years longer than a traditional paint. Unfortunately, $500+ dollars is a bit much to be spending on something just to play around with the finish work. If I'm shelling out that much money I may as well just build a full bank of cabinets to match the Transformer themed nightstand (with both faction colors and both logos) that I made for my kids. Still, this is a very cool piece and one of the better crafted TF themed woodworking projects I've seen yet.

To me that's pretty cool. My mom used to rip at the Ukelele and lay down some real face melting solos on comping trips when i was a kid.I'm exxagerating of course but she was damn good and we always had fun.
I have a soft spot for the Uke.

It's awesome for several reasons and maybe very awful for the same reasons.
