Why the hell bother with the PSP version? Make the other ones good. No one's going to buy a PSP version of the game if they have one of the other systems just because there are more characters and an 'enhanced' story.

It sounds like they're concentrating on the PSP version the most to me there, which is a little worrying since it's the device with the least amount of units sold.hmmm..

Anyway, sounds good. I hope this has some kind of online play ine X360 version.

Thats cool, I just hope it doesn't have a cop out ending like the Transmetal game where even if you won as a Predacon, the Maximals still somehow came out on top.

You underestimate how shite the PSP versions of games are. I'll be buying the PSP and PS2 versions, I hate the PSP but if there are G1 playable characters and networked muliplayer I'll finally be glad I bought the thing.

:BANG_HEAD: I don't have a PSP and this isn't worth buying one just to get some extra characters. But I want to play as those old characters, so once again D'oh! Really, why should the portable get the cool stuff when it would be so much better on the big screen? It's usually the other way around.

I also fear the PS2 version is gonna be the worst version cause it's tech is getting old. I hope they put as much care into the PS2 version as they do the other versions though.

And this sounds like one sweet movie game. Good thing it comes out on/or around my birthday (July 4th 8) ), so that's gonna be one heck of a day.

Hmm.....so the 360 & PS3/2 are more than likely going to be standard...the Wii will probably have wiimote functions, there's going to be 2 seperate DS versions (1 'bots & 1 'cons), & the PSP's going to have older characters.....

.....hmm....

Well, since I don't have a PS3...it looks like I'm going to be getting 5 versions of the same game..... :?

.....or at least rent them & keep the best.

PSP games have a crapload of extra features to attract buyers. It's sad but true. MegaMan: Powered Up is a good example. While the game itself is fairly good, the extras block your vision so that you don't notice the main game. Heck, even the main game is packed with extra characters.

I forgot about Megaman Powered Up being for the PSP. Doesn't it have a level creator?

Hmm, by the time the movie comes out, I should at most have a job, at least be out of school, and with the Castlevania 2-pack coming out, and Metal Gear Portable Ops being on the system, as well as a few other games, perhaps there'll be enough to warrent me getting a PSP.

Yup, and an online function with every uploaded level from the US, the UK, and Japan. There's also a level list site here.

If you like Megaman X1, then get its remake: Megaman Maverick Hunter X. The anime cutscenes are stunning and the graphics are pretty good, too.

So yeah, there are good games for the PSP. Just so you know, I bought mine just for Powered Up and Maverick Hunter X! I'm a devoted MM fan.

Speak for yourself.

I'll be buying one of the next Gen versions, to go with whichever next gen system I get first, and the PSP version if it gets even half decent reviews.

Hm. Those other characters probably include the Combaticons. Wonder who else'd appear? Probably won't be the truly massive characters like Metroplex. Even gestalt-sized TFs like Deszaras and Star Saber'd be pushing it.

What? Are you drunk of "hater-aid" again? I scored a PSP for free a few months back for helping with a small Ontario based wrestling feds security (those rednecks in Oshawa can really throw a bottle of JD.) I'll be picking this one up, it sounds like it might be better then the other platform versions.

Me too. I've always been a big fan of Megaman games. I even got in an old copy of Nintendo Power for writing about how awsome MM 3 was. ( my favorite is still 2, and my favorite X is 1 or 8) I also bought Powered up and Maverick Hunter X. I was pumpped to use vile after I beat the game, and even liked how they re-hid the powerups.

Same here. I'm a HUGE Megaman fan, and whe I found out my 2 favorite MM games were being remade for PSP I was sold. The PSP was really sold short gaming wise. I love the system, but I'll be damned there's hardly any good games. I'm actually really interested in the PSP version, sounds interesting. I'll be getting that and the Wii version.

You know I could see them bringing over Transforemers: Call of the Future to the states (the G1 game from a few years back) I have it, and modded my PS2 specifically for it. I think it's an awsome game, even if the EI is beyond awful. You may as well fly solo and have the otehr two in your party dance around or sip tea on the sidelines. Still with all the hype H-wood is giving TFs, I could see them touching up the game for the US market. Even if it's released as a greatest hits title.

I'm planning on buying a PSP version of the game. I LIKE my PSP. I'm going to be getting a version for my PS2 as well. Who cares aobut the 360 and the Wii? Let's hear more about those two consoles. :P

Let's make this a little less about the consoles and more about the fact we're getting a TF game across all platforms. That actually is the only thing that worries me. Cross-platform games tend to really vary wildly form one console to the next in terms of video quality and gameplay. I wonder if it's just porting between all systems or if they're all from the ground up.

Ground up would be better, but ports are cheaper.

The PSP version of X-Men Legends 2 had 4 extra playable characters: I can't remember all of them, but two of them were Cable and his Age of Apocalypse counterpart X-Man. I think there was a downside to this being made on the PSP in that they couldn't add all of the levels.

Spider-Man 2: The Game.

Saw that one coming from a mile away.

It was good, but it lacked a bunch of things. Namely replay value. Once you go through the entire game, what was there? Collecting of coins and tokens which give you what in the end? Diddly. Then you swing around and beat up thugs, then swing around and beat up people breaking into a rooftop door. Then you swing around and do a spidey race, then, oh look, more thugs. The only thing that was unlockable were upgrades for spider-man, wow I can make Spider-man swing a little faster, yay?

It got boring quick. There were no unlockables. The cool thing was the staggering size and detail of the environment, how well it flowed together.

It marked a huge leap from the first Spider-man Movie game, which really was a Spider-man 64 port updated. But it still wasn't a really great movie game. Thankfully Ultimate Spider-man, while on a smaller scale and basically the same game, gave some unlockables and extras for completing the game among other things.

Actually, Ultimate Spider-Man was bigger. It included Queens as well as Manhatten. Though I think it took out Liberty Island and Ellis Island. :-?

Like 90% of all movie games this is just to cash in on the momentary growth of popularity. I don' t like thinking it and I don't like typing it even more, but it seems to be an unfortunate truth. If it's anything like Hulk: UD then it will be fun for a month and then collect dust in the DVD rack.

Depends on what game your looking at. Star Wars games are really hit or miss. I haven't played most of them, but a lot of the Episode 1 game didn't fare too well. Starfighter for the PS2 was good though, and that was one of the earlier PS2 games.

Rouge Squadron 1-3 is are some of the peak Star Wars games, in my opinion. It's arcadey, but they are awsome! Only thing is the third one has too few ship missions, and not enough ground variety for my tastes.

The Super Star Wars games on the Super NES were really good I remember. They were hard, but good. The NES ones didn't fare too well. I had the Gameboy ports, and while long and expansive, just weren't much fun.

On the PC side, there are WAY too many to count. However, the X-Wing/Tie Fighter series of flight sim games were extremely good. I only have X-Wing and Tie Fighter, and while I never beat X-Wing, Tie Fighter was certainly a great sequal that improved upon X-Wing in many ways.

I can't bring up Star Wars games without mentioning the vector graphics Star Wars games. It's on Rogue Squadron 3, and it is still cool. Extremely simplistic, but I'm sure it blew people away in 1981(think that was the release date). Who wouldn't want to pilot an X-Wing and blow up the Death Star? Empire was pretty good, but I dont' think it was as strong as the original cause they didn't have as much to go on. Jedi never recieved a vector graphics game, only a 3/4 view sprite game that was a scrolling shooter/obisticle avoider.

So basicly there's crap in the Star Wars Universe of games, and there is good, so it really does even out. But a lot of the Star Wars stuff is in the expanded universe, so it's hard to really put that in with the movie stuff. Still, it's some of the best licensed games out there.

Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is the best game I've played yet on the XBox. I just finished it a couple of days ago.

Their naming the drone classes after transformers though instead of being individuals and they want people to choose from the names. For example all of the Cement Trucks were Mixmaster,Groundpounder,Roughstuff,Wideload etc. I hate that just name them drones dont give them names we associate with, if they want to give them names, why not actually make the transformer.

Well, I voted for Mixmaster, because if it shows up as a toy, it will be named and described as an individual like Swindle is. For what it matters anyway.

But I got to thinking about something...

I voted for Mixmaster instead of Quickmix because I assumed the drone was a Decepticon. Is that a faulty assumption?

When you play as the Decepticons do you fight Autobot drones in the game? Or does Sector 7 and the US military provide the cannon fodder?

From what I understand, you fight other robots from Cybertron. I think I recall them saying you might fight some military tanks and helicopters, but that might be the most you'll get to fight humans. No stompin' on people in this game.

As for naming the figures I think it's a great idea to have the fans put so much imput into the game itself. We alreay know one video game character made it to a toy (Swindle) and who's to say there won't be a boat load more.
