Seibertron.com member robofreak has posted some new information regarding Fans Project's City Commander Upgrade set: it has been bootlegged!
This knock off was allegedly created by the same people that made the KO Shadow Commander Upgrade set and suffers the same quality issues and mold problems.
ACToys member lovemg has posted a review of this set this review can be seen by clicking
here.
We at Seibertron.com advise you to be careful when buying a City Commander Upgrade set from non reputable sources. Remember, if the price seems too good, odds are it is.

Will wonders never cease. Nothing is sacred in the world of Transformers and this remains true with the latest revelation of news coming from our friends at
Fans Project, courtesy of Seibertron.com member Slayershoop.
It seems that the Shadow Commander upgrade set for the 2008 San Diego Comic Conventions Nemesis Prime has been remade into an aftermarket knock off! A host of pictures were posted over at Fans Project's website showing the differences between the original upgrade kit and the cheap bootleg.
To see all the images detailing the differences, click

More bad news for you G1 collectors out there. Looks like more knockoffs are being unleashed in the Transformers community. According to reports from Seibertron.com member capellamusic, the seller of the KO Shockwave we reported on
here is also planning to sell KO's of G1 twin Sunstreaker and Decepticon triple changer Octane! This may be the first time Octane has ever seen a KO release.
But that's not all. Another seller over at
ioffer has posted a G1 Superion KO set in what appears to be g1 packaging. KO's of the G1 gestalts have been available almost everywhere but usually come in a generic package.
Be cautious when purchasing your G1 figs Seibertronians. When in doubt, refer to our official
Identifying KO's Thread for more information on Transformers KO's.

Seibertron.com member capellamusic has just posted info in our official Transformers Knock Off Thread about another G1 KO release that may cause uninformed buyers to think they're getting the real McCoy. Here's what he had to share:
I just found out that the new Shockwave KO reissue is already available, boxed, and that there are 2 versions, one with a purple barrel and one with a grey barrel just like the original. Please check here:
http://www.ioffer.com/i/Transformers-G1 ... -107072101
Vintage collectors must be careful with the grey barrel versions...
Best regards

In the world of Transformers, nothing in sacred enough to avoid being counterfeited, or KO'd. This is evidenced, yet again, by the recent revelation that Transformers Revenge of the Fallen figures have been added to the duplicated mix.
Thanks to TFW2005 member, and KO guru, GenZhao, we get a good look at knock offs of Deluxe figure Soundwave with multiple color schemes and heads to boot, along with oversized scout class figures Dead End, Dirt Boss and Depth Charge.
Before the actual figures themselves hit mass release, you can get a poorly replicated, goofily colored KO of them. Check out way more pics of these bad boys
here.

There is a new G1 KO to be cautious of. Pictures of a KO Shockwave have appeared on
ACToys. There is no word yet when this figure might be released, or what the telling signs will be to identify it.
*In these pictures – the muzzle of the gun is dark purple instead of grey (as on the authentic version). Unfortunately, we unsure if this will be the same on the final product. We will keep you posted with package details.
