Joe Moscone, affiliated with Hasbro and the Transformers brand for a long time, and who stepped down from his position not too long ago at Hunter PR, reached out to us to promote his current fundraising auction for cancer charity Receptions for Research. Moscone is putting his accumulated Hasbro items, from past SDCCs and more, entirely up for grabs, with all proceeds going to the charity organization. The lot includes the likes of Transformers, G.I. Joe, Star Wars and more! Check out the letter he sent us, take a peek at the photo below, and head here to start bidding, and do some good.

Joe Moscone wrote:Following last year's first successful attempt at auctioning items from my personal toy collection to benefit our fundraising efforts in support of RECEPTIONS FOR RESEARCH: THE GREG OLSEN FOUNDATION, we're back at it again!

I wanted to share details of our eBay charity auction with you. If you're able to spread the word with your friends and readers, we will be eternally grateful.

What it's all about ...

For me, it began seven years ago, when I first learned of Receptions For Research: The Greg Olsen Foundation, an incredible group devoted to providing hospitals, doctors and scholars across the nation the resources necessary to treat and enrich the lives of those affected by various forms of cancer and cardiovascular diseases.

Since 2010, I have led a small group of friends - we call ourselves the New Jersey Grabowskis - in fundraising for the foundation through a variety of local community and social media tactics. Last year, my girlfriend Caitlin and I introduced the charity toy auction into the fray in an attempt to take our fundraising efforts to the next level - and boy did it ever!

My team has now raised more than $80,000 since we began seven years ago, and as we approach the homestretch of this year's campaign, we're hoping that you can help us elevate our fundraising once again by sharing word of our charity eBay auctions with your friends and readers.

We are auctioning a variety of toys and collectibles from our personal collection. I gathered all these items during my many years working with Hasbro's Entertainment Brands and through friends in the industry. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of each and every item in this auction will go to Receptions For Research. Unlike last year, when we posted a dozen or so items a week across a month or so, this year we're putting everything (30+ items) up all at once for a single 7-day run. IT'S LIVE NOW!

Here's a link to our eBay auction: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?siteid=0&pub=5574891718&campid=5336631220&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fm.html%3F_nkw%26_armrs%3D1%26_ipg%26_from%26_dmd%3D2%26_ssn%3Dcelgin013%26_sop%3D16%26

NOTE:

The eBay page hosting the auction is that of my girlfriend, Caitlin Elgin, a fellow New Jersey Grabowskis fundraiser.
A full list of items being auctioned for charity is below
Attached is a shot of just some of them items being auctioned

Again, thank you for your time and please let me know if you're able to help us spread the word for this great cause!

All our best,
Joe & Cait

After the 1986 The Transformers movie animation storyboard, we have another Spacebridge eBay auction - courtesy of fellow Seibertronian Cyberpath - this time for the Animation bible for the original Generation One series, featuring model sheets for the main cast! More information to be found here and below, and happy hunting once again.

Transformers Cartoon Animation Bible for Cel. Model sheets. More Than Meets The Eye. G1
This is a complete 68 page animators bible for the first Transformers cartoon episode More Than Meets The Eye (Arrival From Cybertron in the UK) I obtained this from a former Marvel USA employee over 15 years ago. The pages are a strange size, larger than a normal letter size and longer, I’ve not seen paper this size anywhere else. It includes the animation design for every 1984 character plus humans, the Ark and Shockwave. It also includes designs for how each character should be shown to Transform. Some robot names are incorrect or switched as this was put together during the early stages of Transformers creation. There are also pages to show the height comparisons between robots and how robots mouths should move. It’s very rare to find a full intact set such as this. I’ve deliberately only shown parts of each page to preserve the exclusivity of the images. I am starting bidding at just 5 bucks a page! No reserve! If you need any more information just ask. Lots more pictures below, take a look!

Here's something a little different for the real vehicle and live action fans out there: have you ever considered owning the 'real' Optimus Prime and/or Bumblebee from the movies? Now you can, according to an auction organised by Barrett-Jackson. You can read a general overview of the auction here, a snippet and some images below and browse the auction pages directly here for Optimus (1992 PETERBILT 379) and here for Bumblebee (1967 CHEVROLET CAMARO SS) - currently owned by Michael Bay.

I mean, why not, right?

Though the holiday season for giving extravagant gifts will have come and gone by the end of January, Barrett-Jackson, the World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions®, will sell two ultimate toys at its Scottsdale auction. This duo of the most famous vehicles in the world from the Hollywood big screen will cross the block at WestWorld … and they can be yours.

Optimus Prime®, the iconic truck from the “Transformers™” movie franchise will sell to the highest bidder in front of a capacity crowd that includes more than 300,000 event participants and 5.5 million television viewers worldwide. Fear not, Optimus will not be alone. It will be accompanied by its brother-in-arms, a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro used in “Transformers 4: Age of Extinction,” known as Bumblebee™.

Lot #1325.1 - When it came to creating the first live-action "Transformers" movie, the most important characterization was certainly that of "Optimus Prime." An entire team of artists and illustrators worked tirelessly, drawing potential trucks and cars, trying to zero in on just the right look for each robot/vehicle. When the film's production designer showed Michael Bay a photo of the enormous Peterbilt tractor, the director was immediately taken by the lines and size of the truck, even through he know he would face intense criticism for his choice - in the same way he did for selecting a GM Camaro in place of the original VW Beetle known as the beloved robot Bumblebee. Both of Bay's picks ended up enthralling new audiences as well as diehard fans of the sci-fi series. The Peterbilt, a more aggressive truck, was also used as Bay's tip-of-the-hat to Steven Spielberg's 1971 film, "Duel." This vehicle is one of the tractors used. It was a picture and stunt vehicle and is being sold "AS-IS" and "WITH ALL FAULTS" and is subject to execution of a Paramount Waiver. **SOLD ON BILL OF SALE ONLY. NOT CURRENTLY STREET LEGAL, FOR DISPLAY ONLY, MAY NOT BE EMISSIONS COMPLIANT IN ALL 50 STATES.**

LS2 fuel-injected Corvette engine, 6-speed overdrive transmission, custom suspension, mini tubs, Wilwood brakes plus added stunt extra caliper, 9" Ford rear end, touchscreen navigation stereo system, custom three-piece racing wheels, Nitto low-profile tires, hideaway headlights, custom Halo LED yellow headlights, yellow Ridetech "TigerCage" rollcage, custom-made carbon-fiber fender flares and front splitter, power hood latch, satin black paint with high-gloss yellow accents, carbon-fiber engine covers, Auto Meter Cobalt gauges, system kill within glovebox, Eddie Motorsport hood hinges, custom billet core support bars with yellow accents, smoothed firewall, hydraulic braking assist. Joe Moscone, affiliated with Hasbro and the Transformers brand for a long time, and who stepped down from his position not too long ago, reached out to us to promote his current fundraising auction for cancer charity Receptions for Research. Moscone is putting his accumulated Hasbro items, from SDCCs and more, entirely up for grabs, with all proceeds going to the charity organisation - and the lot includes the likes of Mighty Muggs, Kre-O Class of 1984, 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime, PCCs, Universe Sentinel Maximus with Ape-Linq and several non-Transformers items such as G.I. Joe, Star Wars and more! Check out the letter he sent us, take a peek at the photos below, and head here to start bidding, and do some good.

Hello!

I wanted to share details of our eBay charity auction with you. If you’re able to spread the word with your friends, readers and/or social media followers, we will be eternally grateful. Of course, if you want to bid on items yourself, have at it!

What it’s all about…

Since 2010, I’ve supported Receptions For Research: The Greg Olsen Foundation, an incredible organization devoted to providing hospitals, doctors and scholars across the nation the resources necessary to treat and enrich the lives of those affected by various forms of cancer and cardiovascular diseases.

This year, we’re introducing an auction into the fundraising mix to try and raise even more money for this wonderful organization and build on the nearly $59,000 we’ve raised since 2010. I think we can do it with your help!

Through mid-June, we’re auctioning a variety of toys and collectibles from my personal stash. I gathered all these items during my many years working with Hasbro’s Entertainment Brands. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of each and every item in this auction will go to Receptions For Research. Our plan is to post several auctions through mid-June, each with a new selection of approximately 15-20 items.

NOTE: The eBay page hosting the auction is my girlfriend’s, Caitlin Elgin, who is also part of my fundraising team—the New Jersey Grabowskis. Here’s a link to our eBay auction: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?siteid=0&pub=5574891718&campid=5336631220&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fcelgin013%2Fm.html%3F

Attached is a list of most of the items to be auctioned between now and mid-June (end date TBD). I’ve also attached a couple of photos that I previously shared on Twitter that show the massive amount of stuff we’ll be auctioning. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Again, thank you for your time and please let me know if you’re able to help us spread the word for this great cause!

All our best,

Joe & Cait

Here's a bit of a treat, with a charitable cause, for all Transformers comics fans. Artist and general godfather of the Cybertronian aesthetics for the past 30 years, Andrew Wildman, has collected the signatures of Bob Budiansky, José Delbo, Simon Furman, Geoff Senior, Lee Sullivan, Stephen Baskerville, Andrew Wildman, Guido Guidi, Nick Roche, Jason Cardy, John Paul Bove and Casey Collier - all on the Guidi after Sienkiewicz cover for IDW's ReGeneration One! He is auctioning off 30 of these special issues, with the profits going to help comics creator and first Transformers writer Bill Mantlo. So head over to eBay, bid your savings, do some good, and own a part of robot history.

It's finally happening. The auction of the exclusive, signed Transformers Regeneration One comics. There are 30 copies (it's the 30th anniversary) of issue 100. This is the release with the 'issue 1 homage cover' by artist, Guido Guidi and all the books are signed by a host of Transformers creators. A real who's who list.
What is really important about this auction is that all the proceeds will go to help Bill Mantlo. One of Marvel's writers who was responsible for some of their greatest titles. Not only did he create Rocket Raccoon but he was the first writer on the Transformers book. Bill was involved in an accident in the 90's and requires constant care. This is our way of saying thanks to him for his contribution to one of the worlds biggest franchises.
Check out the auction below and share with... everyone.
