In a recent report,
Reel Movies got some insight on the production experience with Director Michael Bay from Transformers Revenge of the Fallen's visual effects supervisor Matthew Butler.
In the report Butler stated:
"He's brilliant, but he's a challenge....he's incredibly fast-paced. He's a whirlwind to keep up with, both on the set and in post... [Bay] took the production value up many, many notches. Just the backgrounds alone are huge. It's a combination of Apocalypse Now and Ben-Hur, in regards to fantastic backgrounds and the unbelievable sets we worked at around the world."
Aside from Mr. Butlers descriptions of the great detail the filming backdrops contain another interesting note was added to the end of the report. According to Reel Movies,
there are over 60 robot characters in the movie. A substantial amount more than the projected 20 bots we reported
here.

In what may seem like a long time coming to some of us, the Transformers franchise will be honored with induction into the ToyFare Hall of Fame at
Wizard World Philadelphia from June 19th to June 21st, 2009 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
With the HASBRO toyline reaching its Silver Anniversary, it seems fitting that honoring the line would be this year. Wizard World had this to say regarding the induction:
“Hasbro has produced incredible Transformers action figures for both diehard fans and younger audiences,” Wizard Entertainment Publisher Gareb Shamus said. “We're very pleased to honor Hasbro with this award of achievement for Transformers.”
More details will be furnished once they become available. Read the original posting on this
here.

In what seems to be an extremely popular picture to parody, the recently famed President Obama picture of "Hope" has been made to render the Autobot leader that all Transformers have come to respect: Optimus Prime. Below is the original rendition for comparison with the new print.
The work was done by graphic artist Tim Doyle, and was quickly swept up by Transformers fanatics at $30.00 each. No word was posted as to whether the print will be run again. To view the original article on this, click
