Your mileage will vary with this one, for sure, but we have enough reports to warrant a heads up to anyone looking for a deal. Walmarts across Canada and the US are doing some massive liquidations on the 2020 Transformers toys.
In Canada, the deals many have found are the following:
We have our first global sighting for the upcoming reissues of the Transformers Titans Return Headmasters in new G1 styled boxes. These were found in Toysrus in Hong Kong. They are Walmart exclusive in North America and should be out soon. The first wave consists of Chromedome, Mindwipe, Hardhead and Brainstorm. The remaining will come out in wave 2. We found this info on Facebook, where Rodimus Chan posted images of his finding. These all have slight differences from their original releases and you can see comparison images here.
Fellow Seibertronians o.supreme and TF-fan kev777 have reported that the second wave of voyagers from the Walmart exclusive Transformers Netflix series have been found in the US. Both the Soundwave and Optimus three packs (they each come with 2 smaller toys) are just shy of $40. While these are in Netflix boxes, they aren't related to the show. Optimus is the Earthrise toy (he has his Siege body in the Earthrise cartoon) in his original toy colours while Soundwave is an excusive retool of the Siege toy that makes him turn into a casette player. These have been found in various states in the pat few days like Utah (where the in store image was taken from) and Michigan.
We have great news for whoever likes a bargain and is within driving distance to an Ollie's store. The Walmart exclusive Netflix Transformers Ultra Magnus spoiler pack, which includes a magnus turning grey, a pink rung and some energon cubes in putty, is being sold for just $24.99 USD. What makes this extra fun is the typo in the printed flyer where the toy is called Ultra Mangus. The deal starts TOMORROW. This was sent to us by fellow Seibertronian AutobotDad and we thank him for the news.
The Transformers War for Cybertron Kingdom line is out now. It was fond in Hong Kong. You can check out the video below showing this first global sighting.
We also have a better look at three of the wave 2 figures: Ultra Magnus, Dinobot and Inferno. Inferno comes with the small hoses to attach to his feet and Dinobot has his legs in an orange to homage the original toy (photo below). The photos were found on the Facebook page Cybertron 21. Let us know what you think!
The Netflix Transformers voyager toys are the only toys from wave 2 that have yet to be found in the US. However, they may be coming soon since they have been found just north of the border, in Canada. Those are Optimus Prime and Soundwave (who is an exclusive retool that turns into a tape deck). They were found in BC and Alberta. The news was first posted on Cybertron.ca.
Fellow Seibertronian JTPrime has uncovered new listings for the Netflix Transformers toys. We already knew of a third wave which includes Cheetor and Barricade but now we know which voyagers. And they are.... Optimus Primal and a Seeker. The specific names are given below. While on the topic of Walmart exclusive transformers, we now also have listings for the remaining retro headmaster releases Wierdwolf, Highbrow and Skullcruncher.

The second wave of Walmart Exclusive Netflix deluxe Transformers figures has been found at US retail. The first recorded sighting was in an Arizona Walmart. These are going for $19.87. For those curious of the case breakdown, it seems to be:
Yes, you read that right. As is more often than we'd like, Target places these internal street dates on their toy releases. And yet, places those same toys on the shelves. Such is the case with Runabout, which has actually been found in Target stores. Some fans have been able to buy him by bringing another deluxe to be scanned at the cash for purchase. The first sightings were in New York state and the toys purchased were soon put on e-bay. He is priced as a standard Earthrise deluxe but has his own assortment code.
If you want a review of the toy, you can check it out below:
We have been getting several reports of the Adlis store stocking up on Transformers toys for the holidays. Specifically wave 2 of Earthrise. Not only do they seem plentiful, but they are also discounted to $17.99.
We have reports from North Dakota, Illinois and more. So if you are curious and have an Aldi's nearby, it might be worth a visit. At least now we see where all the plentiful stock Hasbro was speaking about previously ended up. We thank everyone who sent this info out way. The photos below were given to us by adamage, GeekyGamer Gal and Seibertron himself.
The back to the Future crossover Transformers toy, Gigawatt, was never said to be exclusive to any retailer, but still, many Canadians were surprised to run into him at Toysrus after being offered through EB Games. And not just seeing him, but seeing how much with more than a dozen being shipped to stores, as you can see from the photos below. Great Scott! The price is rather steep though, at $60 CAD, so we'll see how well they sell. The images below come from Dspayre and Gunsligner over at Cybertron.ca.
In other Toysrus news, a new sales starts tomorrow where Siege Micromasters and the "Target Exclusive" RID One Step multi pack are %50 off. While that particular set is from years ago, Toysrus has been getting large quantities of it the past month. Makes you wonder what else is being forgotten in warehouses.
