Hmm, who to choose? Which character has the sheer force of will to complain, belittle, and outright treason his way into being a WFC Generations toy?
S - is for his team they call the seekers
T - is for the treason in his heart
A - is for the autobots he shoots at
R - is for his raids on quickie - marts
S - is for his buddy named Skywarp
C - is for his planet cybertron
R - is for his rays (I'm talking NULLLLL rays)
E - is for his equals - he has NONE!
A - is for the airlock he kicked someone out of
M - is for Megatron *see above*
Put it together and what's it spell?
Why, none other than STARSCREAM, that's who! Starscream (like Prime, Bumblebee, Soundwave and Megatron) is practically an ICON of transformerdom. His characterization in the WFC game was spot on and so took me back to the old days of G1. You can't have a transformer toyline without good ol' 'Screamer. There are a few transformers which I must always buy due to the fact that they were the first ones I ever had as a kid. Cliffjumper was the first, Thundercracker was the second - and my brother got Starscream at the same time.
SO, I cast my precious vote for Starscream and lay a Scientist Rocket sentry to watch over it!
As a fan of Starscream, I feel I should pick him, and lobby for him to be chosen. As I would love to have another Starscream in my collection. However he is not the logical choice, as I have plenty of him, but few of another. Shockwave is much more deserving. And, so, here is a Haiku;
Glory to our side
Decepticons do not lose
Make a Shockwave toy.
To begin, let's consider the line as it is. We already have two Autobots, we are scheduled to get a third. That being said, if a new toy was to be designed, it should be a Decepticon. The obvious choices to me would be either Starscream or Shockwave, as they are both iconic figures. From a financial perspective, Starscream would be the logical choice due to the ability to repaint him into Skywarp and Thundercracker. This however, would create the inverse of the previous dilemma. That is, the cons would now outnumber the bots. That leaves us with Shockwave. He has not received a figure that justly represents him since G1. Action Master Shockwave was non transformable. Energon Shockblast requires kitbashing to even resemble an accurrate representation. Alt/BT Shockblast/laserwave was great, but very niche. Titanium Shockwave could have filled the void in classics, however he never made it into production...not sure that's a bad thing. Not to mention, everybody needs a little one eyed purple mon...err robot.
Air Raid deserves a figure. This is one Autobot who is loyal to the cause. He is strong, skilled, and smart in combat. Air Raid always seems to know what he's doing. He's on top of things and would'nt disobey an order from his superiors unless it was absolutely necessary. Air Raid also has a sense of humor and is ready, willing, and able nearly all the time.
It is true that in the past few years Air Raid has gotten figures, but none of them represent him well enough. In 2007, he was given a scout class figure. The deco was cool, but it didn't scream, "Hey! I'm Air Raid!" In 2008, Transformers: Cybertron Legends Class Jetfire was repainted into a silver and blue Air Raid, but it didn't really seem like Air Raid that much at all. In 2009, he was released in a 5-Pack with his fellow Aerialbots and could form Superion, but it still wasn't the best Air Raid.
Now, Air Raid is back in 2010 as part of the War for Cybertron cast. He has an amazing design in the game and is a great character overall. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee have been released, and Megatron, Soundwave, and Cliffjumper are on the way. If anyone else deserves a figure, Air Raid does. The other characters featured in the game have had several great representations in the past couple of years, and some will be getting new figures in the upcoming years. But not Air Raid; he needs a new figure, and War for Cybertron Air Raid. fits the bill. I think a new figure of Air Raid that finally has a classic feel would really have something for everyone.
Logically, this is a very self-centered and otherwise useless cast of my vote. Why? Because of the three pre-order characters, he is the least I've seen of online, he was obviously not the most popular one out there, for probably a couple of reasons. He's also not going to win a popularity vote on this thread either, based on posts so far. Still....
Demolishor. Despite the previously mentioned reasons, those whom saw me playing with him loved his WfC design when they saw it. It made me proud to actually hear some of them say they'd wished they preordered him instead of Jazz or Shockwave (this was, of course, before the DLC).
Why do I pick him? Aesthetically I do like him. They put just as much effort into the design for every character model we have originally playable as all the characters who didn't make the campaign or original release. But, alas, my vote goes deeper than that (here comes the aforementioned self-centeredness, be warned!). Without trying to be too long-winded and make this my introductory post on Seibertron, I'm a TransCostumer and am currently working on Movie Brawl (didn't quite make it to Botcon this year...so I just wore my movie OC instead). I grow quite attached to whichever character I happen to be working on (movie Blackout was before this), and one of Brawl's working names was Demolisher. I've also recently watched Armada and loved his character in that series. He's devoted to Megatron, but yet conflicted.
Why not Brawl, you ask? Well, aesthetically, Brawl is a lot more bland in WfC to me. He's neat, but not exceptional, as I found Demolishor to be. (Still, I love his character in game, especially when he fought free of all those Autobots in Chapter III!)

NetDragon, the same guys behind the curious-looking Dungeon Keeper Online, were this week revealed as the developers for a new massively-multiplayer online game based on the Transformers licence.
The game has been officially sanctioned by Hasbro, will be a role-playing game, and… will only be released (at least initially) in China, “Asia”, Russia (and CIS states), the Middle East and North Africa. No North America, no Western Europe, no Australasia.
There are no screenshots, no concept art and no further information on the game (or whether it’s based on the original series, comics, Michael Bay’s movies, whatever), so all you’ve got left to do is wildly speculate, dream and hope for the best. Who knows, it may even be good, and as Company of Heroes Online has shown, it’s not that unusual for former Asia-only games to be released in the West.
