Custom Titans Return Minerva

I'm working on doing a custom Minerva. Like a lot of people who had the idea, I'm using Breakaway as the base figure for the body, though I'm doing a bit more than painting.

You can see here how I'm rebuilding the arms to use the front end of the car, and that I'm working on stripping the red tint off the windshield so that I can re-tint it blue. I'm going to have to reconstruct or replace the hinge struts I removed when I had briefly changed my mind to doing a more G1-ish Lightfoot/Getaway.

I've also turned the legs around and re-centered the pelvis.

I'm actually having to re-do the paint yet again after even more filing thanks to paint rubbing during transformation and attachment, but I'm tired of not having any pics up of my work on the Minerva Headmaster fig herself:

Looks pretty cool so far! Breakaway is a damn good choice for her so I can't wait to see it finished. What are you using to strip the windshield? Just curious because I've only ever just tried to cover it as best i could.

Thank you. I'm using nail polish remover, it does the trick fairly well though it does take effort.

FINALLY back to work on this
Image
Most of the vehicle shell rebuilding is complete, I got the hinge settled on, and I've even started tinting the canopy blue. I've also gotten the Minerva Headmaster figure painted up again, properly this time so that she doesn't suffer nasty paint rub during Head On!

And here's what Minerva's robot mode currently looks like. I haven't properly started on the chestplate mod or the helmet yet, but I'm getting there. I did discover that I'm going to have to rework the upper hood hinge because as-is head articulation is restricted.
