But wait, those $15 deluxes are painted, this one isnt.
Kinda makes you wonder what the hell they were thinking when they settled on that price, especially when you consider the fact that there are $6 Titan Masters with more paint on them than that Ratchet figure. $150 for an unpainted Deluxe is a blatant ripoff.

That's the point of those figures of "custom class". They come unpainted and even unassembled so you can paint them yourself.
Because when you pay between 75$ to 200$ for a figure, you really want to sloppily and amateurishly paint it, right?
BombshellDaBug wrote:Don't get me wrong, I totally get the idea behind the custom class. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it doesn't make a lot of sense to me that they would charge that much for a toy that you have to do all of the work yourself. Especially when there are smaller TFs out there with more paint on them at a fraction of the price the club wants. Sorry, I should have clarified what I was trying to get at. I just don't get why they would charge that much for a toy that the customer has to put all of the effort into applying paint and stickers.

There's only a few figures left that I want. I'll wait for them to drop in price and if I don't get them, I don't get them. I'm not going to pay the crazy prices these are listed at now just because they supposedly only have two or three left. As it stands, I can get most of them cheaper elsewhere.

Pretty much this.

Munkky wrote:Like others on here I may wait until the prices drop more before I buy anything in the sale. However, I'm not really sure if I actually need anything on the site. Sure I would like to have the BotCon Cybertron's Most Wanted set...or at least just Megatron and Oilmaster. And I wouldn't mind owning Predacus and that Voyager Toxitron, but I can't decide if there's really a place for any of that stuff in my collection, or if it would be a waste of money even if they're still available nine weeks from now and I do get them for a 90% discount.

There are a few items I do have a place in my collection, but not a 'lot'.
I mean, the Games of Deception set. Once I would've snapped that up. Now? I own Thundercracker, Thrust, and Dirge from it. Got them a lot cheaper, too.

I noticed that the GI Joe/Transformers Crossover figures base price seems to have jumped up a bit prior to the sale.

I wish I could remember what some of the other prices were for certain, but it almost looks like the raised most of them to various degrees.
It almost seems like the "10%" off is actually back to the original price.
