After rebuilding my Kreo Prowl, I thought why not try rebuilding Ratchet?
The original design has better proportions when compared to the original Prowl.
My only problem is that the torso and limbs are just too long.
Ratchet's looks like a pinhead NBA player.
Again, I do have to admire the range of movement and poseability on this one...
For this rebuild, I thought of shortening the torso and limbs to give Ratchet better proportions.
After dismantling the robot, I thought it would be more difficult since most of his parts are "planks" and "tiles" more than bricks.
And yes, this was a more difficult rebuild.
I based the torso design on the manual, once again, with my own improvisations.
The leg parts were tough. I had to test fit everything and even have to rebuild parts of the torso just to get the proper proportions.
All pieces used came from the Ratchet kit. Unlike Prowl which, at least, I had the G1 look in mind as a guide, rebuilding Ratchet had me thinking only of making his legs bulky to compensate for the buffed-up torso.
In the end, I'm still happy with the results.
And yeah, sorry I was not able to take pics during the rebuild for instructions...
Everything was trial and error.

Thankfully I've finished before running out of parts...
